Saban Calls For Thursday Press Conference But Won't Give Reason

I think he may actually retire, but just call it wishful thinking. I had this feeling ever since they won their final game of the regular season. He was choked up after they won that game, like he was sad. Then after the NC he seemed relieved instead of overjoyed, like he was glad that was how it ended. This is only me speculating but after Kirby stayed and didn't go after an SEC head coach spot it seemed like he was waiting on the HC spot to open at UA. If I'm wrong I can't figure out why Saban hardly ever smiled after either win, maybe you could say it is because he is so stoic.

Interesting thoughts. Can't say I'd be sad to see him go :P

I'm still holding out hope he retires, and if not this year than next.

He was asked at the presser after the Championship if he was nearing retirement. He asked them whether they thought a guy who came unglued when Alabama committed their first penalty with 3 minutes to go in the game up 21-0 looked ready for retirement. He will coach at least another five years.
