sharky
I think we have the main core of this team in tact, an OL'sman here, a corner there, a DE and with good coordinators and we're back in the hunt. I think free agency will be the best route for us at this point.

HouseofEuphoria
LOLNow that we're in the process of blowing up the team, it's as easy as adding a few FAs and we're back on the superbowl trail, huh?HahahahahaWait to see who we are able to retain before you start talking "back in the hunt."Group 2 loves drugs, apparently. mountain_jim3
An upgrade at LT would cost a lot in FA. In fact, any upgrades on the oline will be costly.I wonder how much TD's OL picks (other than Baker) can be coached up?Or maybe a scheme and play-calls that were not so predictable (or stupid) can serve to upgrade oline performance

Psychic Gibbon
I'd prefer if they spent their money on keeping players like Grimes and Lofton and sparingly go into the free agency market to plug up the holes in the O-line.

Karst41
Dear Group 1.We commend you and your valiant efforts on the battles that you won. However Group 2 won the war.Moving on we have a few issues to address this year.1 We have to re sign our high value Free Agents.2 We will be limited on our spending in the Free Agent pool.3 Our Draft is blown up due to no 1st and 4th picks. So we get 2 Free Agents and 5 picks.BRIMG EM HOME TD ! HouseofEuphoria
Those who criticize normally don't have a solution or opinion. Do this sound like you?It was not critical, nor was it opinion. It was simple fact. The Falcons fans and the organization do this every few years - Fire everyone, get rid of underperforming players (who usually go on to be much better players) and then start all over. While group 2 thinks we're on the way up, I figure we'll be back in the playoffs in 2-3 years. It would have been ridiculous to continue doing the same things the same way with the same people.I always hated MM, but i thought BVG had done a fairly good job with our defense. The players liked him. The numbers tell his tale. But starting over again with 2 new coordinators, new scheme, huge loss of FAs this coming off-season, and very little room or money or picks to improve this team ...pfft, the writing is on the wall.We just went from consistant winner to basically starting over.So our coordinators leave. Am i happy? Heck no. It makes us look like we're much bigger losers than we are.I think you'll be unpleasantly surprised at how many of our players leave to go elsewhere because they dont want to start over again.Dayum, we lost again! Clean house i wanna build a winner!! Sadly, your Group 2 thinking is the trap this Falcon organization has been in since its inception and here we go again. TD isn't going to gut this team....and we aren't in horrible cap shape. There is no viable reason at all for this team to plummet.I expect the opposite. madman88
Who do you plan on re-signing here? We have a big list of free agents ourselves.Resign: Brent grimes Curtis lofton Kroy beerman Harry Douglas Eric weems Abe Hayden(has that playoff sucesses) FA: an o-line needs an anchor.. and it starts at LT... LT Dabrickashaw Ferguson has playoff sucesses and has been to the pro bowl... DE Robert mathis.. bring in to a 3 year deal with the third being a team option... After that the draft doesn't look as. Bad.. maybe another cb, or o-lineman to help beef up the middle if were not sure about Johnson as well as Hawley as a future center for us... There is no viable reason at all for this team to plummet.I expect the opposite. We'll just have to disagree.I see big trouble on the horizon, at least for a couple years.BTW, the other posters you have endorsed and +1nd about all this "group 2" crap are the same ones wanting to get rid of - Smitty, TD, 'noodle arm' Ryan, 'Dropsie' White, Bachman Turner Overweight, D Robinson, and many others. This i will never agree on.It's one thing to get new coordinators, which may only set us back a season or so, but this Giants game has sent everyone into panic mode, and ive seen the results of this situation before as a Falcons fan. Many times. Too many times.Where once i saw a light at the end of the tunnel, now i'm afraid i wont live long enough to see a championship in Atlanta.
