Billy Ocean
Good luck, Orson. Great guy with a great work ethic.Thankfully we have depth now and we won't have to put up with any stonehanded TE's like Tripp Chandler and Martez Milner while we make this transition.Remember all those multi-TE sets we had been looking forward to before the '11 season started? ******* Bobo. Dawgfanbrock
What depth? Rome, Lynch, and Ty (the new guy from this years class?) That doesnt seem much like depth to me -
SacFalcFan
i hope the best for orson charles.. he has been a DGD!!!
Billy Ocean
What depth? Rome, Lynch, and Ty (the new guy from this years class?) That doesnt seem much like depth to me -Lynch and Rome will be more than enough. Especially since we never put 2 TE's on the field at the same time. No school in the country (except) Stanford had TE depth like we had this year. Most schools out there don't have a 1/2 dozen TE's on the roster.I feel 100% certain that we are better off today than we were when Pope left, and I am sure that Lynch & Rome will be better than Chandler & Milner. I really like the things I hear about Artie, and he is a more natural blocker than Orson & Aron were (although Orson blocks very well for his size). Lynch's blocking will be a big help with our young offensive tackles next season.
007dawg
Loved watching him play for 3 years. Wonder what his measurables will be at the combine? I'm guessing he is closer to 6'1" than 6'3'. Still, I think he could be a Shannon Sharpe type player in the right system. Good luck to OC!
SacFalcFan
What depth? Rome, Lynch, and Ty (the new guy from this years class?) That doesnt seem much like depth to me -we add another te in this year's recruiting class and that is 4 tes (2 young ones) that we can use.. not bad at all imo. Dawgy
Not worried about TE at all. We all know about Rome but Lynch was highly rated and recuited and is a good blocker as well as a good pass catcher.

Don't forget about Williams threw his name in the hat as well, he is just as important as Rambo IMO.

ohiodawg8
i personally think no more juniors leave, jarvis jones staying was huge and i think he will convince rambo and cornelius to come backBig John staying goes along way as well. Really thought he might jump. This defense could be lights out next year with JJ6 leading the way upfront.
Carter
Big John staying goes along way as well. Really thought he might jump. This defense could be lights out next year with JJ6 leading the way upfront.Don't forget Kwame, who delivered on his goal to outplay Jenkins and be the starter. We have a great thing going with our NT spot. It will be interesting to see how the DE spots shape up and how the depth sorts out there. I'm looking forward to seeing Garrison Smith on the field more.Best of luck to Orson Charles... DGD for sure... wish he would have stayed to give us a boost in going for that SEC title, but can't blame him any.
RxDawg
Good luck to OC7, actually had a conversation with him in Ramsey last yr while watching some b-ball games. A really nice guy and a DGD to boot.
Faithful Falcon
What depth? Rome, Lynch, and Ty (the new guy from this years class?) That doesnt seem much like depth to me -You know TJ can play TE too. We still have Aaron White.
Pollack4Heisman
You know TJ can play TE too. We still have Aaron White.Aron White has graduated, he gave the commencement speech at the graduation ceremony. Were looking good with Rome, Lynch, and Smith. Reeves
I think Jay Rome asserts himself as the starter but I'm really REALLY hoping Lynch steps up and becomes what he looks (physically) like he can be.Having two in-line TEs like that again is awesome and should help with the run game as well as the passing game. And even if neither is quite the receiver that Orson was, our receivers won't be a question mark going into the season while our OL will be.Man I can't wait for spring practice. scottp12
I honestly wouldn't mind the Falcons drafting Charles with our 2nd round pick...Man that would be awesome considering Tony Gonzalez's old self and our use of TE's

Gritzblitz 2.0
I don't think UGA will miss him all that much, not because he isn't good but because UGA rarely used him properly. I would have loved to have seen what he could have done with coaching that realized his potential.

I would have loved to have seen what he could have done with coaching that realized his potential. If we had had a 1/16th decent line we would have used him more. It's hard to use a TE well when he has to stay in and help block every single play
