g-dawg
I think Dunta Robinson is a mediocre CB as his cover skills are just average. However, for a "free safety" he would have good coverage skills and he is a thumper on the back end in hitting/tackling. I realize at $8mil/yr he is overpaid but he could be a potential borderline all-pro at free safety position.Starters:CB-Brent Grimes(re-sign)CB-Dominque FranksFS-Dunta RobinsonSS-William MooreCB/Nickel - Darrin WallsCB/Dime - Chris OwensFS/Nickel - James Sanders (re-sign)I believe in a more aggressive scheme with these moves and then probably drafting another developmental corner - I believe that would be a pretty good secondary. What say you? FalconinPA
If you move Dunta Robinson to another team, I might get on board.

atlbaby
Agree he should move to FS. I said the same thing before.
King Syrup Golden 32 Oz
Sounds like an AWESOME idea to me...maybe keep Decoud for depth though...
Robb4242
He'd probably restructure his deal as well if given the option to restructure or be released. That would make it a little more manageable.
Rai
Robinson isn't a very good tackler. That alone makes him a terrible Safety.
FalconinPA
Sounds like an AWESOME idea to me...maybe keep Decoud for depth though...I was thinking this as well, but I don't think we need his kind of depth. I am seriously tired of seeing him from the back as he is chasing the opposition. Or making the tackle 12 to 15 yards down field and celebrating. I say give him his walking papers
swift
Dunta is terrible at moving his hips . You cant move hips bad and play S . Too stiffDunta should be cut depending cap hitLet Grimes walk if contract deman Bring in Carlos Rodgers and let Franks developand go after a big time DE to replace Abe
Sun Tzu 7
If you move Dunta Robinson to another team, I might get on board.I know what you mean but I think that would be hard to do with his contract.I would be willing to move him back to the safety position and see how he does there before getting rid of him for nothing.Either way I definitely think we need to talk to him about restructuring his contract. ditchdoc57
I really dont care if they all walk, only players worth keeping on D are Spoon and Lofton, and they need to learn how to tackle. Every one here loves Grimes but he is just OK, nothing special, on most teams he would be a nickle at best.

Dunta would get eaten alive at safety. You ever watch the guy try to tackle? I can see talking to him about contract restructure though. FalcsForLife
I like this idea alot. I would take it a step further and bring in Finnegan.

freebird310
Again, if you do it he needs to go to strong, and move Moore to FS, Dunta would be much better fit at SS ......

I thought it was him getting lost in coverage.Either way I think we agree we wouldn't mind seeing another option at the corner.

IceFalcon
No way, on Robinson.Do you see how out of position he is about 50% of the time? You think DeCoud is out of position, try putting D-Rob there.
OC
Thing about it is that Grimes really excelled under Ron Burgundy's defensive system. If the new DC wants to go with more man coverage, Grimes may become expendable.
FalconWong88
Does no one see Dunta falling flat on his face all year long on him trying to tackle people? The only time he can tackle is when the receiver is in the air trying to catch a pass. He's crap.
vel
I'll pass. It's not his coverage skills. It's his brain. He blows so many coverages it's sad. Imagine him blowing a deep coverage. O wait! He already has. He needs to learn his role and learn how to play it. He still doesn't know his assignment's fully and is a poor tackler. firstandforty
I think Robinson to FS would probably be best. I'm not quite sure, but I'm betting that if we cut him, it would cost us a huge cap hit. I still like to see us pick up a FS in the offseason that way it will give us some flex options. The deeper we can build our secondary the better. The Packers, Saints, Patriots, and all other elite teams air it out, and in order to compete with them, we are going to have to be able to defend them better. Decoud can pack his bag in my opinion. He makes to worst decisions and his angles he takes are terrible.
