Jets players are killing the Sanchize. Do these quotes (especially the 1st & 4th) sound familar to Falcon fans who have been around for the last 6-10 years?

1. "We have to bring in another quarterback that will make him work at practice," one player told the newspaper. "He's lazy and content because he knows he's not going to be benched."

2. one team source said Sanchez's career development shouldn't stand in the way.“Come on. That's a no-brainer," the source told the Daily News. "If you have a chance to get a healthy 36-year-old Peyton Manning and you don't do it, then

you're stupid. If I could get a healthy 36-year-old Peyton Manning, then, **** yeah, I would trade Sanchez."

3. Another player linked Manning to coach Rex Ryan's long-promised Super Bowl appearance: "We already have (Manning's) coach -- (offensive consultant) Tom Moore. Plus, he's a field general and will get everyone lined up. He will get his playmakers the ball. We can win a Super Bowl with Peyton."

4. "How can we when he's not improving at all?” one player said. “He thinks he is, but he's not. He has shown us what he's capable of."

I dont understand the allure behind manning, don't get me wrong I think he is the best QB to ever play the game but at best I think he has 2-3 years left, and thats if he can stay healthy. Also signing Manning doesn't guarantee anything other than the loss of 25% of the cap space. He is the kind of guy that can carry a team but then again he kinda has to since there isn't enough money to surround him with talent.

I just wouldn't be in to mortgaging the future of my team in order to get P. Manning for 2 maybe 3 years. If he was 32 or so I would pull the trigger, but he isn't.

Although Smith and Rex Ryan are almost polar opposites in terms of personality, they are very similar coaching wise. Both had their team drinking the coolaid for the first few years of their tenure but when things didn't go as expected and the future didn't look so bright they started to lose it.

If we had that QB you are referencing, we would be talking about our upcoming game against the Packers in the Georgia Dome, instead of trying to figure out what direction we are going in. Matt Ryan lives in the film room and still can't get it right. Mr. "Can't Get Right", LMAO!!!!
