Ivan_Falcon
Anyone know what history has shown before, with a team bringing in a new OC and DC, and clinching a playoff berth that season? This isn't a pop quiz or anything. I don't have the answer. I'm simply curious if anyone knows if and how often it has been before.

Guest Negatorris
I don't think it matters. Smitty will just make us look like fools again if we get there.

blizzard_falcon
The one answer I saw last night to this was the 2007 Giants, who had a new OC in Kevin Gilbride and a new DC in Steve Spagnuolo. There are also several instances of a team winning the Super Bowl with a new head coach and one new coordinator, while having retained the previous regime's DC or OC. Gilbride was the QB coach in 06 and he actually took over the play calling that yearbut true I guess thats close enough
falconidae
I'd say our chances of making the playoffs are better than our chances of winning a playoff game with the former coordinators.
Steel City Falcon
Well the Houston Texans went and got a new DC and they went from a bottom 10 defense to a top 5 and a playoff team.

citsalp
We made the playoffs with two sub-par coordinator's...One would think our chances go up, not down.
redwolfcfc
Falcons History shows that the last time we had two new coordinators we went to the playoffs.
