PSSSHHHRRR87
This may be a repost, but I searched and didn't find anything so I going to post it anyway. Looking at our opponents next season, we have a lot of winnable games. We will play the following teams next year (not in order):@RedskinsGiantsCowboys@EaglesCardinals@Lions@ChiefsBroncos@ChargersRaidersand 6 Divisional gamesWe'll have a pretty easy schedule next year, so we should have a shot at getting division and back-2-back-2-back playoff appearances. Pressure will surely be on this team next year to perform after the last two embarrassments.Forgot to post the link...http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1009554-atlanta-falcons-analyzing-the-2012-nfl-schedule

FlyHighFalcons
Worst case should be 9. I put my pessimism hat on when going through it.This is my pessimism hat:I think we'll lose one game combined in our 4 against Carolina/Tampa Bay.We get swept by New Orleans (no reason to think otherwise yet).We take 3/4 AFC West games. We split against NFC East.Beat Cardinals, lose to Lions.9-

JBeattz
Cant really think about next season until we know who our new coordinators are. And see who we resign, and stuff like that.

the_sheff
I really dont see that as an easy schedule. As we are currently constructed i could see us losing to any of the AFC West teams and each NFC East team except the Redskins.

mrfahaji
Hmmmmm I might have to visit the US for one or more of these games... I've always thought that Arrowhead looks like an amazing place to see a game.
Guest Negatorris
I think we have growing pains next season, and I don't know if we will make the post season. Either that, or we are even better. Also, we could drop one to the Chiefs. I'm serious. Edited January 11, 2012 by Gonzalez
Tribal Chief
There is no such thing as an easy schedule in the NFL. Take the schedule lightly and you will possibly be one of those cry babies at the end of the season because you thought we would beat certain teams. You can't sleep on the Chiefs, Raiders, Chargers, Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, Lions or Denver. Just better hope we get someone good to replace the 2 men everyone wanted gone. mrfahaji
Also, perceived 'ease of schedule' at the start of the season does not necessarily translate. For example, the Panthers were deemed at the start of last season to have the toughest schedule in the entire NFL, but in reality they had the third easiest. We look to be facing teams who have been average this year - I think 8 of those teams listed had 7, 8 or 9 wins - so it could go either way next season. 1980falconfan
Beginning in 2010, a change was made to how teams are paired in the schedule rotation to ensure that teams playing the AFC and NFC West divisions would not have to make two west coast trips (e.g. at San Francisco and at Seattle), while other teams in their division had none (e.g. at. St. Louis and at Arizona). For example, the last time the NFC South was matched up against the AFC West in 2008, the Falcons had road games against Oakland and San Diego. However, that will not be the case in 2012 as Falcons will play Oakland at home but will travel to San Diego. As a result, the Falcons will not host San Diego or play at Denver again until 2016. The Chargers last visited the Falcons and the Falcons last played in the Mile High City in 2004.
PSSSHHHRRR87
It's @Denver and San Diego at home. Opposite of 2008.Atlanta should be able to win games against the Redskins, Chiefs and Chargers in 2012, but they may end up losing or splitting games with the Eagles and Lions. That would place the Falcons, at best, with a 4-1 record on the road outside of divisional play.Chargers is a road game and so is the Lions, who we played @ Ford Field this past season.
