AmaZze
2008 Cardinals,2010 Packers, and now the 2011 Giants will probably keep up the trend of using Atlanta as a springboard to the big dance. How many times can a team be embarassed in the big moment? Yesterday during ESPN, Boomer said the team should be ashamed and embrassed for their performance, 2 POINTS!!! Come on Man. I wasn't optomistic about this game after the NO loss, but I still had a sliver of hope that maybe this team would show up. I don't want to read another post about the media not giving this team any coverage. They don't deserve it and shouldn't until they grow some balls. =abrahamburger=
That would be nice if it happened. However, I think it won't. Giants are out next round.
hardenmj
I said this in a similar thread yesterday...the reason these teams go to the superbowl are because there chances of getting there are drastically increased by having us on the schedule given our playoff success
AmaZze
Giants lost only by 3 last time they played, now their front 4 is back and their running game is going. This team might pull it off.

footballfan12
Green Bay is gonna beat the NY Giants like a baby seal. Rodgers trusts his protection and will expose the Giants' swiss cheese secondary.Hmmmm. He did not expose the secondary when the Giants were playing crappy defense and they needed the refs to rule a Packers non-TD as a TD and the Giants TD as a non-TD to win. They barely beat them by 3 points and the Giants defense was decimated by injuries. Now that the D is healthy, it will be a different story. Oh, and Brady never loses 2 in a row at home, right? How did that work out? This is the play offs and anything is possible. Look at Denver. I do not think they were too many who picked to beat the Steelers, right? How did that work out? So until the game is played, everything is speculation. Win or Lose, the Giants will score more than 2 points.
footballfan12
saints vs green bay winner wins super bowl.Shut Vegas gambling down! Cancel the remaining playoff games and the SB and award the trophy to GB. Dominique a.k.a "Nostradamus" has spoken! By the way can I have the winning lottery numbers? The packers can be beat, **** the friggin Chiefs did it. Last time we met, they won by a field goal, and we didn't have Tuck or Osi. Our running game sucked. AT least this sunday we got a shot. I think the odds are in the packers favor, because Rodgers is playing so well, however, the jints are a different team now, and HUNGRY. The onus will be on the packers, not the giants. If that's not shredding a defense I don't know what is. The injury excuse is just that. 2 can play that game - Packers were missing multiple starters on both sides of ball as well. Healthiest they have been all season. For the talk about the Packers losing @KC the Giants lost to the Redskins, at home.

What else more can a guy do to expose a secondary? Everybody keeps talking about the Giants injuries but keep forgetting that the Packers OL was decimated by injuries as well. They had a bunch of guys playing out of position. Pass rushes don't get to Rodgers. Good coverage gets to Rodgers. Rodgers was sacked 36 times this year in 15 games. Yet he put up what will go down was one of the Top 5 passing seasons in NFL history. This isn't a non mobile Peyton Manning or Tom Brady we're talking about. Rodgers seems to actually play better when being pressured.

Healthiest they have been all season. For the talk about the Packers losing @KC the Giants lost to the Redskins, at home. The Giants DL was fully healthy for that matchup last year and Rodgers flat out torched the Giants. The Packers were actually missing more starters in that Week 13 matchup than the Giants were. Its funny how nobody mentions that. Its all about how unlucky the Giants have been.People are raving about how good they played against Atlanta. The Falcons nearly shut them out for the entire first half. They can't afford to play like that against Green Bay. They will be down by 2-3 TDs very early if they play like they did against Atlanta.Like I said. Good coverage frustrates Rodgers. Not a good pass rush. The Jets shut down Rodgers last year without much pass rush but outstanding coverage. The Chiefs also blanketed the Packers WRs and got to Rodgers. If you don't have coverage, Rodgers is just too good and will find guys even when pressured. Flowers and Carr are some of the most underrated players in the NFL. Maybe the best CB tandem in the NFL. But nobody talks about them. The Giants CBs aren't even close. The problem with the Giants is that they rush with reckless abandon. They are ferocious but they can be undisciplined. If you leave any lane uncontrolled Rodgers will escape and hit guys down the field. The other thing about the Packers is that they are by far the best team in the NFL at making teams pay for mistakes. You make a couple of mistakes and the game is already over. You realize they were missing their starting RB and key plays on the defense. Casey Hampton and Brett Kiesel went down very early in that game. The Steelers were also on the road. I get what you are saying, but the Packers aren't the Steelers. They are a consistent team. Everybody is hyping up the Saints because of how many points they score at home, even though they aren't going to be playing at home. The Packers have been just as dominant at home. They have averaged 40.1 PPG at home this year. But the entire world believes they can't play in their own stadium for some reason.
