Genius
You can't deny the fact that yesterday was a huge disappointment, but you also can’t deny the fact that with this coaching staff, we have gone where we have never gone before. But the bottom line is, we are on the right track. Each year we remove a monkey from our backs. First it’s B2B seasons. Now, it’s B2B playoff seasons. Soon, it’ll be B2B playoff wins. I see a lot of fake fans have emerged from their caves to gloat at our loss and to ask for the immediate termination of our key personnel like Ryan, Mularkey, Smith, and Van Gorder. These guys have given us nothing but wins and playoff hope yet all these so called fans want them out.It just wasn’t our year. We had several key injuries, i.e. Mughelli, Edwards. If Julio and Grimes also didn’t get injured during the season, we probably wouldn’t have been the 5th seed. It also wasn’t our day. We need to take what the defense gives us like Tim Tebow and the Broncos. The Steelers decided to blitz, and the Broncos took it and passed over the safety. We need to do that more. The ball just didn’t bounce our way this game.Go Falcons and RISE UP for 2012-2013!
Tribal Chief
The whole season has been a joke and anyone who actually thought we would win a championship should have known better. I know you are supposed to support your team at all cost but we sucked against winning teams all season. The only decent team we beat was Detroit. That aint good at all. I'm not as upset about the loss because I expected the worse. Everyone else took their weakness for granted and now they are making excuses and complaining and angry. It is what it is

beantownfalc2
Not happy with scoring zero points with a "high powered offense" against a team that isn't that much better than us. I dont care how you spin it. Its unacceptable. ATL is the most passive, happy with mediocrity fan base i've ever seen. Even a franchise thats only been in existence for 8 years has a playoff win this year with a rookie qb. The Saints how HAD a worse history than us have a ring. Im so sick of that bumpkin mentality of "this team has won back to back seasons" and holding that up as a trophy

hardenmj
Rise Up needs to be done for...whenever a big game comes for this team that is exactly what they don't do...expectations for this team aren't one and dones in the playoffs...we should be better than this and fans have the right to be frustrated...changes need to be made and anyone who doesn't see this is not looking at this organization realistically. pr0d1gy
The Falcons need to dump that Rise Up campaign. It fit after we missed the playoffs a couple of years ago but now it's just lame.
Porkins
2pts for 4qtrs of football. And BVG finally adjusted the D. He took the pressure off of Eli.I think think the lack of pressure on Eli wasn't so much an "adjustment" from BVG as it was our DLine simply got tired. You can't pin your ears back for the entire game (especially when you're conceeding 3rd downs). It doesn't help when the Offense can't generate sustained drives or score points. BVG and the Defense wasn't the problem in this game. I'd exempt them from all discussion in fact. I think they did their job as well as could be hoped for.The Offense was a travesty the entire game. The Giants had some defensive injuries (two Giants went out on the same play, one straight to the locker room) and we couldn't take advantage. We had HUGE mismatches with our WRs and TE and couldn't take advantage. We had several 3rd and 4th and shorts and couldn't convert. What I saw was more than just a lack of execution, it was a lack of game planning and lack of adjustment. We had the talent to compete, but we didn't.Goats:Matt RyanOffensive LineMichael TurnerRoddy WhiteMike MularkyMike SmithPut them in any order you like.On the bright (ok, less dim) side:Matt Bosher (awesome job)Chris Owens (even with the lucky no-call PI)John Abraham (for the 1st half)Julio Jones (when he actually touched the ball)Kick Return coverage unitCan't really think of any other positive standouts. Some players had moments (Sanders, Lofton..), but those moments were counteracted with other not-so-stellar plays. Carl927
This football team is a product. Die-hard fans will support the product, but we're a dying breed.Blank needs a better product. A revamp of an old slogan is not enough.

Wehuntzaplayoffwin
I like the players and the coaches but someone needs to give them a beta blocker on playoff gameday-I have never seen a whole team and coaching staff in two years of playoffs play as tight and scared as this team did. The defense was great but got worn down-the offense from Milarky calling plays to Ryan execution acted like they were so scared to make a mistake they couldn't play.To make a decision during the week leading up to a game that you are going to go for it on 4th and one is unreasonable. You have to play and coach in the moment. The first one should have been a field goal and the second should have been a play action.

They move their safeties, you try to pass over them like the Broncos did. We need to do that more. Take what the defense gives you. That's the kind of mentality that causes us to lose against every decent team we play. Captain Check Down is content with dinking and dunking his way down the field 4 or 5 yards per play. Good offenses don't take what the defense gives them. They take what they want and the defense has to deal with it. We aren't a good offense.

If we get 5 yards a play consistently, that's a first down every 2 plays. I'd take that any day.
