J-RoC770
No offense but right now he's a little above a game manager. At half time he didn't even have 100 yards passing yet. I'm not too sure he can win a superbowl, maybe if somehow our defense magically Is a top 5 defense he would.
Tribal Chief
Until we become the explosive team we thought we were, the entire offense will not be among the elite. We wont be competing with the Saints, Packers, Eagles, or any other explosive offense any time soon. Dunta even said it would be nice if the guys on offense would put up some points
hardenmj
there have been far worse qb's that have won super bowls...and ryan is only finishing his 4th year and coming off his best season statistically...matt deserves a lot of the blame for yesterday's performance but there is too much blame to go around
KGrillz
Unless TD makes an elite defense the Falcons will never win a Super Bowl.
DirtyBirdDynasty
Matt Ryan is a franchise quarterback. If you don't know what that means I don't have time to help you.If "elite" means "the best" than the following QBs can be considered "elite"RodgersBreesBradyManning (Peyton)These QBs are the best. The next tier would include a few such as Roethlisberger, Eli Manning. There is NOBODY in that "elite" or next category who is closer to the beginning of their career than the end.Ryan is a franchise QB who will soon enter that next tier just below the best and has all the potential to eventually reach that top level. If you don't think Ryan is a franchise QB, or this franchises QB for the future you're simply not very in touch with reality
hardenmj
I believe ryan is good enough to win a superbowl even though he may not be an elite qb...the rest of our team and coaches needs to get a he** of a lot better though
J-RoC770
Matt Ryan can not even be mentioned with Big Ben or Eli. It's sad but I maybe think Tony Homo would be a better fit in our system than Matty with the weapons we have.

THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED FOR NOT BEING ELITE

Yes lets replace our young franchise QB with a player on the wrong side of 30 with a habit of choking in the clutch.

bird backer
I'm sure people said the same about Brees when he was in San Diego. It takes the right mix of players and the right coach(s) and the right timing to win the SB. Think about it, how long was Elway in Denver before he won the Super Bowl? Heck Dan Marino never won a Super Bowl... I would stick with him, if we get a new OC and fortify the line you it might be what he needs. srichter23
matt has hit his ceiling in my opinion. He's ok, but he is not a Super Bowl quarterback and will never be anywhere close to being as good as a Brady, Brees, or Rodgers
Xx FaLcOhoLiC Xx
Ryan had the best season he's had in his career so far. I think he'll be fully elite in another year or two. Look how long it took Brees and Manning to win a Super Bowl. He'll take us to the promised land eventually. It's hard to do with a sh*t OC, OL, weak pass rush, mediocre corners and a fat running back.
