For a couple of years now, it seems he just doesn't have it anymore. He tippy toes up to the line and just doesn't run with authority anymore. It's like he is either playing not to get hurt or just can't get it done. 1,000 yards rushing isn't what it used to be. Someone will surely start bringing up stats but I think the poster "Pittmanfortwo" could start the new one, "Turner for 2"

Dude had a lot of carries this year (league-leading). It reminds me of Gonzalez using up Venters/Kimbrel; they just ran the tread off of the Turner tires... again.

It doesn't matter much anyway since Sam Baker's decline started after he put on a Falcons hat at the draft.

An overused turner plus a crumbling O-line is a bad formula.

Well if the O-Line can open a hole he would be fine. Also this coaching staff has not put in much of a game plan. They do the same thing 95% of the time every game. That tells ya they have no clue.

Unfortunately The UGLY TRUTH about Michael Turner

Turner is only good against average to bad teams

His Rushing titles and stats are VERY mis-leading

He makes up for his miserable showings against good teams by having great to monster games against avg to bad teams

Dont believe me---

Go back and check his rushing (since he has been here) against playoff contender teams that we played in each year ---not playoff teams the previous year but the good playoff bound teams in the same year that you are loooking

Yeah--its not all his fault as our Offensive Line doesnt do good run blocking against playoff caliber teams either

It's hard to get sentimental with Rb's in the NFL. If they give you 4 or 5 good seasons then be appreciative and start moving to the future. I think he could have 1-2 good years left somewhere with a stud O line. Maybe he's the 1st or 2nd round pick we need in April. Either way MT has done right by me. He has carried the load.

David Wilson is the best RB in this upcoming draft but hes underrated and only ranked like 3rd best RB. If we were to draft a RB itd be him BUT i like Turner. #1 in break tackles he basically gets no help from o-line hes hit just before ryan hands the ball off

There is othhing wrong with turner and he is still running hard. If you watch the game he ran hard and got yards even when he should have been stopped. THE OL LINE IS THE PROBLEM AND I saw too many plays where there was a giant player in the backfield. (also TG sucks at run blocking)

Turner isn't bad but he isn't the best either. He is slow coming out of the box. He can barely catch a cold. He has no moves. We need someone like DeAngelo Williams

NO WAY!!! Tuner is a top five RB plus why waste time on non-problems we are good at rb, wr, te (except for run blocking) QB?(ryan decision making at times. Our main problems are the OC and OL. If it was up to me I would replace them all. however i will settle for the LT and RG (maybe center). the OC has got to go.

Been saying this for 2 seasons now...

We need a back that can do it all. Matt Forte would be brilliant in a Falcons uniform

I think Turner, more than anyone else on the Falcons, pads his stats against bad teams - I think Turner in a two back system would be fine - the problem is he is a power runner running behind a finesse line

I also think power runners need to be able to get a yard on their own, and he doesn't - for a big guy, he no longer can get the short yard on his own regardless of the oline, and I think hes on the downhill slide - he's not fast enough to be a speed back, not shifty enough to be a cut back guy, and is no longer powerful enough to be a power back

I never said he wasn't top 5. I said he was slow and doesn't have a burst, which is true. Only time you see a burst from him is when he gets through the hole. Guys like DeAngelo Williams and MJD show that burst as soon as they touch the ball. That's the type of RB I would like to have

We need a back that about 215 - 225 with speed and change of direction like Ray Rice, Adrian Foster, McCoy, or Forte. We need someone that can hit the hole fast.
