Carter
Auburn? Arkansas State? Apparently he filed paperwork at Arkansas State to transfer and follow Gus Malzahn. Some strange stuff. Not sure how reliable this website is, but here's a link. http://www.nationalfootballauthority.com/2012/01/auburn-tigers-rb-michael-dyer-filing.html
Cable Guy
I 'm getting the feeling that Auburn doesn't want him to go and are making it difficult for him to transfer.Carter did you get the pm I sent.
UAB_DAWG
Auburn is ready for Dyer to go. He has such an inflated ego that everyone on the team is ready to see him leave. Dyer thinks he deserves every carry and has been really upset about his amount of touches. This feeling among the team is to the point that the oline doesnt even want to block for him anymore. Dyer is almost certain to follow Malzahn to Arkansas state at this point. This will probably show up in the media as one of those mutual agreements to part ways things but Dyer's ego has gotten the best of him. Always hate to hear stuff like that. It's a team game.
DeaconDawg
AU alum I work w/ is hearing that CGC told Dyer what he had to do to get out of the doghouse and Dyer didn't agree. If there is any truth to that he's gone already.

Not trying to bash the kid or anything, but that's the gist of it. Just passing along some very credible information on the situation. Really hope the kid can get things turned around because he could be a great back in the NFL and really make something of himself.

Mr. Hoopah!
It's official, he's transferring. I wish the kid the best, but what an absolute bonehead. Kid had the world before him at Auburn.http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2012/01/auburn_gives_all-sec_tailback.htmlMike Dyer has run for his last yard at Auburn. The school is giving its All-SEC runner, 1,000-yard rusher and suspended tailback a conditional release that allows him to transfer to a limited number of schools. Someone familiar with the decision confirmed the school's move. One of those schools is believed to be Arkansas State, where former Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn is the new head coach.Dyer was hot for two years for Auburn, breaking Bo Jackson's freshman rushing record last year, winning offensive MVP honors in last season's BCS national title game and rushing for more than 1,000 yards for the second straight year this season. But Dyer was suspended following the Alabama game for violations of undisclosed team rules and missed Auburn's 43-23 Chick-fil-A Bowl win over Virginia.Dyer rushed for 1,242 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2011, easily making him Auburn's most potent offensive player. But the Tigers didn't miss a beat without him the Chick-fil-A Bowl. Onterio McCalebb stepped in to rush for 109 yards on 10 carries and Tre Mason rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.Dyer will leave Auburn with 2,335 rushing yards, good for 10th on the school's all-time rushing list.Auburn coach Gene Chizik said in December that Dyer would have to meet certain criteria to play for the Tigers again. Instead, Dyer asked for his release, which will be given.
Billy Ocean
If Dyer would've/could've stayed put, he could turn pro after this season... technically he still could. So now he is going to sit out a year, then play a year? He screwed himself by delaying his payday.

Billy Ocean
Could have been a first round pick if he had another season like the last two.I think he has the potential to be a MJD/Ray Rice caliber back. He would've gotten more national recognition if he hadn't been playing in the same league as Lattimore and Trent Richardson.I think he should consider just transferring down a division so that he can play immediately and go ahead and enter the 2013 NFL Draft. Carter
Man that is just sorry to hear... a kid with all the opportunity in the world and all the natural talent to seize it, just throwing it away. Doesn't he know there are thousands of kids who would LOVE to be where he was at, let alone with having an outstanding chance to be a 1st round pick in the NFL draft if he just gets his crap together for one more season.I'm sure most Auburn folks are saying good riddance, but how much does this affect the offense? It's not common to get a guy who can rush for over 1,000 as a freshman, even with as strong an o-line as you guys had last year... but then for him to do it again this season with your o-line considerably weaker? Dude has some undeniable talent and I'm glad to hear that the coaches didn't just give him what he wants, but it has to impact the offense losing a guy like that. KeepItDownHomeCuz
Rumor has it Dyer's been acting out since the four guys that were arrested for armed robbery were kicked off the team, he didn't want to see them go and apparently didn't think they got a fair shake. That's the rumor at least. Also he had failed drug tests.
