I've Been Stabbed

On No Huddle/NFL Network they were discussing the Falcons Vs Giants matchup and per usual i expected the talking heads to pick the Giants while faithful Dukes showed the ATL some love. I was horridly shocked at what had actually occured! Jamie Dukes picked Eli and the Giants over the Falcons.... how could you Jamie! Ironically, Sapp chose the Falcons as his upset. What is this world coming to my fellow Falcons?

I get where he was going. I agreed with a lot of what he said regarding our OLine, but I think he failed to notice the progress we've made the last few weeks. I think we are much more balanced, and are getting the identity he was talking about.

This, we aren't quite there but every week we come closer to finding the identity of this team which in turn means overall improvement.

I don't care what Duke is talking about he just scared that this team will do what his team couldn't and that is be responsible guys on the road and make a true run for the superbowl and win. what ever the case I'm tired of these so called forcast metoerologists that are sports anylsts saying what they think the weather will be like Sunday when the weather is only indicating a chance of rain. The forcasters don't really have a sure scope on it just yet but are showing for the most part a real nice day.The Giants are scared from the team to the fans and if they are feeding into what is being said about the falcons not being able to win on the road the may want to be ware cause I believe that these Falcons will be coming with their on weather forcast and that one is a scortching hot day of dirty bird or as tuck would say "dirt bag" power

We're still studying the longer range model guidance, which is sending mixed signals about Sunday in the Eastern Region. The European global model has been suggesting for more than a day now (at least three consecutive runs) that a wave of low pressure will be forming over the southern Appalachians this weekend, and it may distribute precipitation as far north as Connecticut and the rest of southern New England on Sunday. It would be an event that would consist almost entirely of rain, unless some colder air could filter into the area on Sunday night, changing the precipitation over to snow at the last minute before it ends. But the 00z G.F.S. (the U.S. medium-range forecast model) does not show this storm, so it's really hard to give specific details about the timing or precipitation types in an event that may never materialize. For now, if something does happen, most of the precipitation should be suppressed to the south.

So it is not clear just yet but for now all signs point to a beautiful day for the most part until they get a clear indication which may not be until Friday.

I don't think I've watched no huddle all year, so I've got to ask, when did Dukes ever give this organization any respect? He's hated this org ever since he left the ATL, he's been about as bad as Marshall Faulk when it comes to talking about the Falcons. Did something change this year?

What he said wasn't really that bad. Our offense has sputtered this season, and you can't really deny it. Drop 41 points on the Jags and their D, then only muster up 16 against a weak defense like NO. The next week drop 45 points on the Bucs. In both those games where we dropped 40+ points, the offense has been explosive, but really it all came together better when we had Turner back to being Turner. If Turner can stay consistent and stop eating twinkies, he can return to his 2008 form. Hopefully this isn't a repeat of when we destroy a weaker team, but then stutter against actual competition. I hope Turner can get going, and it all wasn't just a fluke. If Turner is running hard, and gaining yards, then this offense can keep up with other teams.

I just want to see 4 games straight where the Falcons go out and run the ball explosively, and then pass it effectively! There is no better time to do it than now.

Oh, you didn't know? Ever since he became an analyst he's been riding the Falcons jock more than the Kardashian sisters actually ride jocks. I guess his true colors are starting to reveal themselves when Jamie sees this team turning the corner and starting to become a true contender. Hopefully Deion can slap some sense into him.

I was shocked on both counts, mainly because I recall Sapp laughing out loud about the Birds on more than one occasion on NFLN.

they have a running game, a good d and explosive plays and not to mention they have experience in winning in the post season.

Teams with a Good D don't lose 7 games. The only reason they are in the playoffs is because of the NFC West Type of Scenario. With the exception of this season. These guys won in the post season, so now that's what you call experience. SMH.

From my assessment of this Giants team since Eli got there.I don't see this team as a team to be feared they just play with a lot of heart when their backs are up against the wall.this team has just as many issues as the Falcons and have struggled since that 2007 SuperBowl run and don't think that Eli does not miss Plex and Steve Smith. They would hope that the weather is bad cause if it is not it could make out to be a long day for the Giants.Their offense has also sputtered a lot this season 9-7 explains that and they have had tough times beating teams that they should have beaten unlike the Falcons who have with the exception of the first Bucs game which in my opinion should have been a duplicate of this last one.The game over all will go to the team that executes off of the mistakes of the other team better cause I project their will be some for one or both teams.I believe that this will be a good matchup for the Falcons cause everyone including the coaches believe that they can beat this team because the Falcons have played a lot tougher opponents and we will feel that energy come Sunday at 1p.m.
