Thelonious Mingus
1-5 when he throws 40+ times this year. Edited January 3, 2012 by Thelonious Mingus
norbendon
All the more reason to go in and establish the run. However, how many of those games did we fall behind and have to abandon the running game?
Hocus_Pocus
These types of stats can be extremely misleading. Our record when Matt throws over 40 is so bad, because we usually (like every other team) throw more when we're behind. Those attempts are due to us trying to play catch-up. fansince78
I agree, it would be much better if he threw 12 passes for six touchdowns and then we just ran out the clock. Of all the stats that are out there, the most important one is the team that has the most points when there are nothing but zeros on the clock wins the game 100% of the time. Rai
I'd love for the RBs to get 40+ carries and Ryan to only dropback like 15x. Giants run D isn't as weak as the Bucs' though so it's going to be unlikely.
Guest Negatorris
Ryan can throw 40 times, but Mularkey's system isn't designed for vertical passing attacks, and that's why we lose. We need to snatch up the dude from GB.

Check out Eli's stats when the Giants lose. They are Breesesque.
triggerman.0
been trying to yell this allday.we need to stand behind turner and let matty throw his short accurate passes. when its the matty ice show we getting the L.lord knows the Iciciles will be in here to tell me im wrong, but its a FACT
atljbo
I kind of agree but only because of the offensive line is not built to do that.... I disagree because vs the Bucs (the 1st game) ... Roddy Catch that ball.. We win... Vs the saints that 1st game... If Roddy makes that catch in the end zone (it would have been a difficult catch but it was catchable) ... We win... Vs Houston at the end of the game once again...If Julio catches that endzone pass.. We are in over time.. Who knows what happens.I dont like that pure stats because its more then just those numbers you have to factor in... Its similar to the turner having 21 carries stat... Dude had 21 carries and only 76 yards (0 TD's) ... That wasnt the reason why we won that game.Sometimes we will need Matt to slang the ball around... But i agree that we need to try to stay as balanced as possible ... It keeps teams on their toes.

Look no further than Drew Brees as an example. The Saints (already very good on offense) are much better this year since they have a top ten running game (something they didn't have last year).
