Really Starting To Hate New Orleans

Recommended Posts

Never seen a saint fan in rivals wish for the death of innocent people. Though every few weeks a random tatf homeboy slides over here with a "finishing what katrina started" type of comment. as a falcon fan, I'm embarrassed. you should be too.

I don't think you should be embarrassed! :) I've been lurking RC for some time now (I always get good laughs from the back and fourth smack talk, and it makes my day go by fast at work); you're a class act, as well as others on here too.

Gritz, I'm not quite sure what you mean. I, like others, have never seen anyone any Saints fan on RC wish for any kind of destruction of innocent people. If so, I can guarantee I, as well as others, would call them out on it and give them an ear full. For instance, earlier in the year, one bad apple wanted to make a nasty "revenge" sign for our home game against the Bears. Guess what, he got his issue by a ton of us and was called out for it, and for a good reason too. Like I said, I would do the same if I ever witnessed someone make any form of classless statements against Atlanta and its people, or any other team's city. Sure, we all trash talk each other and want to strangle one another like two children over an ice-cream cone because mom and dad wanted to be cheap, but at the end of the day, its just a football game.

Also, Gbpack10, sorry you feel that way. I really think it's more of a confidence thing than it is cockiness; every team should feel confident about their teams during the play-offs, because only a few teams make it. As long as they stay on their own boards and don't go talking smack in someone else's house (unless a smack forum is present), then I honestly see no problem. If Lions fans are talking on their forums about stomping the Saints in the dome, guess what, there is absolutely nothing wrong or cocky about that!

That being said, good luck to everyone and their teams in the play-offs! :D Cool people in here, hope to post more.

Full story please. What did the sign say?

I lost any little shred of respect that i had for Brees and their coaching staff for throwing with a 22 point lead and a couple of minutes to go. Their true colors were revealed, and karma will get their a**.

Stfu....If i hear that one more time I'm going to vomit. If Matt Ryan were that good you would bet your *** they would not have stopped throwing for that record. That goes for any qb.

must be nice to break records in 10-15 quarters of garbage time. How long did they keep throwing on Indy. Im so tired of media building up Brees as this classy individual, yet he has no sense of what real sportsmanship is about.........and no, most teams and coaching staffs would have waited till the next week out of respect for another group of athletes.

I think it was something like " the Bears will finish what katrina started" I hope that guy doesn't reproduce.

Never mind, i think they were thinking of a different sign after re reading the post.

So, you have no respect for Brees and company because of the way they went about achieving the passing record, and you think Brees and the Saints lack class because they keep their starters in the game even after the games are out of hand. You know, professional athletes are paid exceptionally well to do what they do because theoretically, they are the best at what they do...if they feel disrespected (or if you do) by what another team does, the thing for them to do is use the abilities for which they are being paid and STOP THE OTHER TEAM FROM DOING WHAT THEY ARE DOING...otherwise, if you can't stop them, they are obviously better than you are...so if you can't stop it, suck it up...

I think a Packers' fan on a Falcons' board talking about the Saints before the playoffs even start... when the Packers & Saints can only play each other in the Championship game... tells me that you don't hate the Saints.... you're afraid of them.

I don't have the Saints making the NFC Championship game this year because I don't like the matchups vs the Lions and I don't like the travel scenario vs the 49ers.

With that said, if they would somehow get there and so do the Packers (I don't have them getting there either), this is a matchup I would favor the Saints. No Saints' fan is going to be afraid of that matchup for this simple reason.... no Saints' fan believes the Packers have a better offense.

And It took about 3 months into the season for most to see this part as well... but most fans don't believe the Packers have a better defense than the Saints either. The Saints also have a very underrated special teams... great returner, great punter/kickoff specialist, and very good kicker. Top notch coverage unit as well.

I don't think either team makes the NFC Championship game this year, as bold of a prediction as that is since they are clearly the two favorites in the NFC, but I would love to see that rematch. Packers aren't anywhere near the strength they were week 1, while the Saints were missing a few key starters & had a ton of new players on the team while the Packers had a lot of guys that were there last year.

Packers are also nursing a ton of injuries right now while the Saints are relatively healthy. If there is a rematch and it is a turnover free game (by both teams), the Saints will win by double digits.

I'll stick with the classy Georgia Peaches
