Dem Birds
But did anyone see any highlights of our game on ESPN? I saw absolutely nothing. We blow out a team, we get nothing, we get blown out, they show every play. No wonder guys like Lofton, Grimes and Spoon don't get recognition around the league, they make great plays and no one sees them.Someone compared a basketball play the other day on ESPN to the Jimmy Graham touchdown over Brent Grimes by saying "That kid from Atlanta." I know bitching about it doesn't help and it's pointless to do so, but why is it? I mean, they want exciting teams, we go big like that and they don't even mention it lol. Maybe I missed it, but I know it wasn't shown on the late SportsCenter Sunday night.
The O.D.B
I was checking out our highlights on NFL.com today and they had 1 JJ clip and then somehow they pulled what seemed like 25 Buc highlights before I saw another Falcons clip. You think that they dominated us.

No Lofton pick, no Franks pick, no Julio first touchdown. I really just don't understand. I get that it wasn't a good game to watch for anyone else, but I see highlights of other teams blowouts all the time.

Rickey
Maybe when we win some meaningful games consistently, we will get some TV time.
FalconinPA
Maybe when we win some meaningful games consistently, we will get some TV time.True. I don't think that Espn even knew that the Patriots were a NFL team until Brady came. Now, they won't get off their nutz!
Guest Gritz
I don't even care about national sports press....There are a couple of thoughts I have about this...1-We aren't really a very flashy team. We don't have malcontents either like DeSean Jackson or Haynesworth.....and our QB isn't dating a pop star or the 15 year old daughter of some rich executive. Press likes to go for the easy, sensationalistic, lurid (is best) story.2-When we eventually achieve great things with the Falcons it will all be ours alone to enjoy and savor. None of these numbskulls can really claim "I've always loved this team!" "I saw this coming for the Atlanta Falcons." It'll be ours alone and they can suck it. putnam6
I could care a less about the national media, wish we had better coverage locally though. I might be paranoid but you know the national media would prefer the Giants winning on Sunday. More readership and viewers with at least one New York team involved. Not saying their is a conspiracy or anything.
Dem Birds
I don't care as much as I just wanted to see us beat Tampa's *** again lol.
Bring It
It's been said on this message forum time and time again.............................accurately...........................that until the Falcons win a SB, then another, they will forever be nothing but "background noise" to the NFL Hierarchy and the joined at the hip National Media talking heads. To all of them "Experts" the Falcons are nothing but an amusing team trying to be relevant in the eyes of the world. If you think about it the only teams they worship are those who repeatedly win titles and / or Super Bowls, somewhere over the past 20 years.Kind of nauseating. But then, what in the mainstream media isn't ??
MilleniumFalcon
ESPN is highlight driven, they only showcase the marquee games. Falcons-Bucs was definitely one of the lower rung games on Sunday.

Yea i know I feel like i watched ESPN for two hours and didn't see chit, but it has got to the point where I cant stand any of the national media anyway. **** I watch the condensed game on NFL rewind just turn down the volume and watch the plays on the falcons and most of the other games every week.
