Are We The Only Team That Doesn't Have "captains" On Our Team

Recommended Posts

i understand all your guys points, but im just saying didnt the NFL do this. They wanted to promote leadership on teams. Im just wondering why Mike Smith does it this way. Ill tweet Jay Adams see if he has an answer.............

Pat Yasinskas did a story on it last year when a fan asked.

per wikipedia

http://en.wikipedia....e_team_captains

In the National Football League, the team captain designation is a team-appointed position that designates certain players as leaders on and off the field. The captains program was implemented by the NFL Player Advisory Council established by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in conjunction with the NFL Players Association. Players with the C patch on their jerseys represents team captain and the number of stars filled in on the patch represents the number of consecutive years that player has been named captain by that team. If they've been named captain for longer than four years, the "C" on the patch is gold. Some teams (e.g., New England) do not have this patch on their jerseys but still designate captains.

@FalconsJAdams Oh Ok, i thought the NFL made every team pick 5 captains and thats how you have the players wearing the "C" on their jerseys

@NateDogg0209LTL Nah. But I know that Smitty likes to rotate captains, which is why we don't wear the "C."
