Falco4
I have been a lifelong giants fan. I became a huge falcons fan when matt ryan was drafted (I went to BC as well). Now, the two teams are playing each other and I will be miserable next week no matter the outcome. We match up against the Giants better than any other team in the playoffs. Being the oracle that I am, here are a couple of points:- The Giants D-Line will have a field day with the Falcons' O-line. Ryan will be knocked down more or less on every down.- Cruz will have a 135 yard day. This guy is truly unbelievable. Very fast and elusive. He is like HD to the 5th power. If you don't jam him on the line, he will find the soft spots of the defense and do major damage.- Falcons receivers will have a huge day. The Giants secondary is god awful. Gonzalez will have a big day. None of the Giants linebackers can cover him. Julio might have 2 touchdowns. Roddy will have have a TD.- Giants will commit 4 or 5 game changing penalties. Bank on it.- Eli will pick the Falcons secondary apart. He will pass for 415 yards and 2 touchdowns (but throw an interception).- The Falcons will have an ineffective running game. Turner will maybe rush for 50-75 yards.- This is also the battle of the worst OCs in the league. It is not a coincidence that both offenses are better when both QBs are running the no huddle.- Whichever quarterback has the ball last will win the game. This game is the battle of the 4th quarter QBs. The game will be decided by a field goal.Falcons: 33 Giants:
Falco4
oh, and Pierre-Paul will have 3 sacks. he is an absolute beast.
Trouble
But you left out 1 very important fact. Its in the Giants back yard. Falcons are a dome team.Weather is hard to predict right now, but the falcons arent a rain or snow team and if wind becomes a factor we could be screwed. But if Giants get a passrush we are doomed. We dont have screen passes to slow down the PR and turner isnt good at catching out the backfield.Weather worries me most about this game though. The giants have home field advantage to the 5th power with that. If its wet White will catch a cold, but will drop a pass. Bank on that. since68andcounting
Do you now live in Atlanta? If so, let me tell you a story. As a child I was a Cowboy fan. The first game I saw on TV was the '66 Ice Bowl and I loved the Cowboys colors and the helmets with the big star. We moved to Atlanta in 1968 and my dad bought Falcon tickets. I cheered for the Falcons all season, but they never contended. Come playoff time I would cheer for Dallas who was still in the hunt. They had all those great teams in the 70's.In 1980 my worst nightmare came true. My two teams met in the playoffs and I was watching with mixed feelings. I sort of pulled for Atlanta, but my heart wasn't fully in it. An inferior Dallas team won the game, ruining Atlanta's first best chance for a Super Bowl. And I have regretted my ambiguous feelings ever since and NEVER pull for the Cowboys in anything.MORAL: Pull for your home team. This ain't fantasy football. NateDogg1215
That sucks for you. But the real question is what are you more a fan of the Giants or Falcons?
Trouble
But don't dismiss Jones he is turning into a beast no matter where he gets the ball. But if we cant slow down the pass rush, we will rely on Turner to carry the team and play action off it. Grimes can cover Cruz i think. But our dline isnt even gonna touch manning. Id say we are good for 2 turnovers this game though.Falcons can take it if the weather doesnt blow them away and if they can slow down the pass rush. =abrahamburger=
If it's cold, the Falcons will have to win like they won at Lambeau Field with Michael Pick. Great defense, lots of turnovers, and a solid run game. If Matty steps up, it's a bonus.

Darkflight
You sound like a Giants fan and a fan of Matt Ryan. You should be cheering for the Giants. After the Falcons win you will be comforted by the fact that one of your favorite players will be moving on in the playoffs. Club212
Our OC is much better than theirs! While any DC is better than ours, theirs has been getting pretty beat up by the press up here (I lve in NYC). If we can control the line, we should win, I feel it will be close though! Boley has been hurting but playing, I don't recall how he felt leaving ALT to the Giants.

MilleniumFalcon
The likes of Terrance Newman won't be covering Victor Cruz, with Brent Grimes on him all game I don't think he's gonna have a great day.
celtiksage
I would have rather played in Dallas but the Giants are a team we can give some trouble to. Their running game is scary. Their main problem is Eli hangs on to the ball way to long. And he's apt to miss on timing routes or when he doesn't his receivers drop a lot of them.I think we will have a great chance in this one especially after the flop Dallas just handed them. If we fire out strong and score a couple early they will be in trouble.Celtik

The giants have a pair of good RBs, but Jacobs doesn't run with power like he used to. Also, the giants o-line isn't very good in the running game. dmite
49 degrees, partly sunny on AstroTurf. I don't see a problem with weather. Now, at Lambeau with 22 degree weather, that's different.
MisterC
The weather looks as if it might be the same or slightly warmer than it actually is in Atlanta right now. And no precipitation... Trouble
The weather looks as if it might be the same or slightly warmer than it actually is in Atlanta right now. And no precipitation...Hopefully with no wind. Last thing we need is some balls floating and getting turn overs. Or balls wet and getting fumbled. We aren't to bad on turn overs but weather can effect that.

He seems to be good at allowing that to happen to him.
pzummo
I'm not sure why you think the Giants will shutdown the Falcons rushing game. They are great passrushers, but they have struggled all season against the rush. They are 19th in total rush defense (121.2 ypg). They allow the 10th worst ypc (4.5). They've given up the 7th most rushing TD's (15). By the way, they also have the 8th worst scoring defense, giving up 25 points per game. Anything can happen on any given Sunday, I just don't understand what makes you think they are going to completely shutdown our running game.
