Peyton
The Atlanta Falcons are 7-2 in franchise history when playing the New York Giants in NY.They are actually only 3-8 against NY at home.Looks like it is better to be playing this one on the road. vabchbirdlover
Conversly, we are 0-2 in the playoffs under the current regime. Understand you're trying to look at the bright side, but a game in NY against a pretty good defensive line against our sub-par Oline doesn't bode well with me. But, hey, TD has given it all to improve our trenches. Color me stupid, but I don't have a warm and fuzzy feeling bout this game, and you can't even imagine how hard that was to me to type. Peyton, love when you give us the stats, I don't ever look them up. But I don't feel good about this game at home or on the road. I will just be praying that we can pull it out. Peyton
Your dime, not mine. Just giving an opinion. The Giants have a talented defensive line. But somehow they managed to give up 400 points on defense this year. So..they aren't all that.
falconidae
The giants at one point had a 5 of 6 losing streak this year, only beat one team with a winning record, with their Dline, they're still 25th in total yards and points allowed. No reason to be terrified of the giants.

White and Julio are playing their best ball of the year. It's gonna be a battle, but it's winnable.

Would love nothing better than to see a big win over the G-Men Sunday, but have seen this movie before. Bring on the criticism, good and bad, valid and ******** (at this point, I'll just take coherent but stupid you illiterate sack stains). All that matters is winning this game. If they lose this one, they deserve to be carpetbombed with spite and cynicism like the dripping acidic saliva of a hellwhore about to consume the staunch load of Pat Buchanan. It's not even Win or Go Home at this point. NoMoreVick
Giants have a good defensive line. One of the best we'll see this season. But there's a lot more to the game than just the concept of "Oh, lawd! Their d-line is really good and our o-line is average!"The Giants having giving up plenty of points this year, and, overall, their defense is pretty average. Their d-line is the only part of their defense that sticks out. Other than the d-line, what else is scaring people about the game? Manning? Why? We've faced great QBs and deadly weapons all year, and we've been locked into a playoff spot for the last few weeks. NY was in a win-or-go-home situation last night. NY will be a tough game next week, but I'm scratching my head as to why so many people don't like our chances. It's the Giants on the road. Overall, we're pretty similar teams. Has he missed on some guys? Sure..but he's not neglecting anything. There were a helluva lot of holes on this team and you can only feel so many every year. vabchbirdlover
I thought our OL looked very good yesterday, as long as all the starters were in.See, that's where the false sense of security comes into tp play, Listen up Thomas - Just cause we have one or two games against some gawd awful defensive teams, doesn't mean all is well in the trenches. But, hey - Go ahead and shoot your wad on a Home run Hitter (Julio), at the sole expense of the real problem of this team, the trenches, both offennsive and defensive. Yeah, I've shot my wad and don't even get me started on TD'S recent FA sucess. But, what the hay - Let's go Falcons!

How many more of the 10 other OL picks were select prior to the 3rd round? Thought so. Again, relalizing that drafting is not an exact science, but just seems to he he has more than his share of dissapointments in both the draft/FA after some initial success. maxatlanta
The NYG DL aren't good vs the run. If they don't slow down Turner then they don't get to pin their ears back and rush the passer. Even with their pass rush, their secondary can't cover. I love the match up of our receivers vs their secondary. The match up to worry about is Eli throwing deep vs our back end. I think we'll see Eli fumble and throw a pick, so if we get Turner going and protect the football we will come out on top.I have a good feeling about this game. I think our offense will impose it's will. NYG are really inconsistent, so there's no telling if they'll even show up or just lay a big egg.Ryan has been underrated to the extreme lately. He has been playing at an ELITE level for several weeks running. On defense Spoon, Moore & Abe are peaking and even Owens/Franks/DeCoud are playing the best they have this season. What's our record when Turner gets 100? What's our record when Ryan has a 100+ QB rating? I think we get both this week.
=abrahamburger=
301 with a 4.5 yard average. That's really good. That is really good. I guess it was true what the pundits said way back in early 2008 about Turner; don't let his age fool you. I guess they were right. He's not the average 29 year old running back. He was healthy, strong, very well-rested, but observant all those years on the bench watching LaDainian Tomlinson.Yeah, he missed some years in his prime, but it wasn't because of injury. Heck, it wasn't even because he sucked. It was because he was behind an outstanding running back. The irony is now Tomlinson (32 years old) is slowing down and breaking down. Turner dominated LD in all categories imaginable and I do mean dominated (FD's, TD's, 20+, 60yard difference in longest, Games, etc). The scary thing is a almost-unanimous fact: Tomlinson is certainly on the way down, and Turner is certainly still on the way up. He had a nice YPC average, but he was a non factor in half the games. The guy just broke a 4 or 5 huge runs this year to pump up that YPC.The main reason that he led the NFC in rushing is that most teams have gone to multiple backs carrying the ball, where the Falcons are still pretty much a one back show.
