I think the saints will pull out a squeaker but the Lions are no joke!

Yep. I'm not going into this one overly confident. The Lions were the last team I wanted the Saints to play.

They have an offense that can score with the Saints.

Besides that... they are very stout at DT. The games the Saints struggle in are those that they can't control the middle of the line. Shaun Rogers dominated them last year in the Saints' loss to the Browns. They struggled vs the Williams Wall of the Vikings in 2009 and 2010. Even the Green Bay game this year... they got pushed around by Raji & Pickett. Now granted, they had Kreutz in that game who played very poorly, while they now have DLP. But Suh didn't play in that first matchup this year that the Lions kept shooting themselves in the foot.

Aside from all the guys they had out and all the personal foul penalties... it was still 24-17 late in that game. The only thing the Saints can really look at and call a fluke was that the Lions came off a Thursday night game and had a week and a half to prepare while the Saints came off a Monday night game. This time they're even.

Yeah The lions are the team that if they get the mental aspect of it down they can be pretty scary.

It is amazing people are not talking about you know that magic 5k season?

Yeah The lions have a guy who crossed that too.

Stafford had 5k yards and 42 tds.............

He had what 410 yards vs the saints last time?

If the Lions do not have 100 yards in penalties and another big chunks of yards lost due to said penalties then the Lions can keep up with the saints.

I still think the saints win but I could see another game like 09 when the Cards and Packers played.

Awww, they left off "Most Douchebags on One Team."

Now it's completesmile.png

Dang, they also left off "Most Pills Popped During a Season"

Come on; you KNOW with his knee blown out the way it was that Payton literally had to be crushing them into his breakfast cereal.

Lions 27 Saints 24 F/OT

Really? Jealous much?

Winning has a way of numbing the pain for me....and I'm free of pain.

Saints have had a very impressive season.

It's wild that the Greatest Show on Turf had a less potent offense than the 2011 Saints.

Looking back, I think they should have kept Graham and Brees in against the Panthers a lot longer than they did. It was apparent early on that without CJ, Panthers could not even begin to rush Brees...and with the secondary injured, all Brees had to do was pick any of his WRs not being exclusively covered by Gamble, and get the completion. Graham could have gotten the record for most yards. Brees could have added another 200 yards to his total. Once you go over 40 points on a team, you've pretty much embarrassed them fully, a few extra points wouldn't have mattered.
