What Is Your Favorite Falcon Highlight?

Ok...tell the story of the best play you can remember and we'll rank 'em by likes. I'll start with two:

1986- vs Dallas ( I think..this memory is a little fuzzy ).... Birds are down 35-30 with time winding down. Archer throws a 60+ yarder to Dixon...Two Dallas defenders are looking to sandwich Floyd but he sort of slides(without being touched and make a spectacular catch on his back...gets up and scores! Falcons win 37-35!

2002 -- vs Vikings OT....THE RUN....score tied at 24 PIECE....Vick looks to pass but sees an opening....GO VICK GO....45, 40, 35, 30, 25....uh oh, Vikings are looking to sandwich him but he is already gone and they collide. Falcons win 30-24 as Vick flings the ball in the stands and exits into the tunnel to celebrate!!

This year Matt Ryan 10 yrd slant to JJ he beats the double coverage opens the taps leaving a trail in his wake 80 yards for a TD

JJ TD ves Carolina beating another double for 75 yards and a TD..

Both of these because it showcased JJ speed.

Past highlights well anything featuring Dieon INT Punt/Kick-off returns there are to many to mention.

The Vick run against Carolina. If you listen to the Carolina radio teams call, you can here Eugene Robinson screaming "his knee was down"!! Hilarious.

Deion's first punt return.

Mort to beat the Vikings in 1998

Vick's Minnesota run.

When we beat N.O. in the playoffs in 1991 (20 years ago). Can we duplicate that?

When Chuck Smith called out the coaching staff in1996 for being soft and got suspended by the team. Coaching staff got fired and Dan Reeves hired.

Your memory is just a little fuzzzy on that one. Your description of the play is perfect except that the receiver was tackled on the 1 yard line and the Falcons kicked a FG to go up 37-35.

I also think the receiver on that play might have been Stacy Bailey instead of Floyd Dixon.

Dalls nearly won that play on an 80 yard TD on the last play of the game. Danny White hit a receiver on a deep cross and he was taking it down the sidelines for the winning score, but I think it was Butler that caught up and pushed him out around the 10 yard line.

Nope, I was wrong about Bailey. You were right, it was Dixon.

Man, I miss though days, they were some good memories even though the teams were not so great. I used to love Bobby Butler and Stacy Bailey. Butler wasn't a allstar CB by no means, but I liked his style of play.

The default answer for this question is the 98 nfc championship game, but I'll throw a few others out.

The Chris Miller led Falcons pulling a collosal upset of the Niners in San Francisco in 1988. The biggest upset the Falcons ever pulled in my opinion, and it wasn't close either.

Terrance Mathis sealing the win against the Niners in the regular season in 98. Really that was the play that determined the winner of the division because there is no doubt in my mind that game was set up for heartbreak if Chandler and Mathis don't make that play.

How about the whole 1983 season. OK, the team only went 7-9, but that team had:

1. The two biggest comebacks in Atlanta Falcons history against the Jets and Packers.

2. The "White Shoes" Hail Mary.

3. Kenny Johnson getting two pick sixes in a game including the game winner in overtime.

4. Kenny Johnson knocking "Skeets" out!

So....had some great moments for a losing year.
