Tribal Chief
Aren't we still playing for the 5th seed?Edit: My bad, I went and checked their record. Didn't realize they had 10 wins already Edited December 29, 2011 by ya_boi_j
BCEagleATLFalcon
After what I saw two nights ago, play 'em the entire game, potential injuries be d*mned. We clearly need as much practice as we can get, and there IS something to be said for confidence and momentum, even if it does come from crushing a lesser team. Aftermath
yeah, that's what we need, more rest. It worked so well last year in the playoffs and against the Saints. I'd put them through two weeks of the most grueling practices in the NFL (within the limits of the CBA ) so that the playoff game would feel like a rest in of itself. BCEagleATLFalcon
Aren't we still playing for the 5th seed?Check the thread title. We'll know by gametime whether it's possible to move up. If Detroit wins, we're 6th seed regardless of our game's outcome.

Hezikiah
I think they should play to win vs Tampa. Get a little confidence back after that indecent exposure in Nawlins.

lee sunset
After Cardinals got beat down by Patriots 47-7 in week 16 of 2008...Of all the bad losses in Cardinals history, that one may have been the spark that turned them into a Super Bowl team and according to many players on the NFC champions, that's exactly what it did. When they returned home to their cozy desert confines, Whisenhunt, the Cardinals' coach, put the team through a brutal week of practice - full pads, hard-hitting and longer than usual hours. Most of it in the rain."A lot of guys were mad that we had to practice like that," said former Giants and current Cardinals cornerback Ralph Brown. "But at the same time, I think we came together. Guys were hitting each other harder. It became a physical game out there. And when we walked off the field we felt like we had been through something. Guys were tired. We felt like we left a lot of energy on the practice field. Practicing out in the rain just turned everything around."The results obviously speak for themselves, since the Cards responded with a 34-21 victory over Seattle in their regular-season finale and haven't looked back since. Three playoff wins later - including a rare win on the East Coast in Carolina in the divisional round - and they're in their first Super Bowl, trying to win the franchise's first championship since the Chicago Cardinals won the NFL title in 1947. Unfortunately we don't have the type of coaching staff that would impose this on the team
Butudontseeme™
This team doesn't need to relax for one second. EverY body should play 60 minutes unless they ARE injured.

{Mojo-Risin}
No, do not sit them. Every time they rest before a big game, they don't even show up for the game.

That being said, we didn't gain much of anything, except a whole bunch of overconfidence, from crushing the Jaguars.

Hopefully the combination of the embarrassing loss to a strong team and a decisive win over a lesser team would combine to create a different type of confidence/motivation than we had after the Carolina and Jags wins. (I'm grasping at straws, I know. I just can't give up hope for the play-offs yet. )
