CHOCTHEFALCONFAN™
I think Turner's YPC has gone down simply because the coaches doesn't give him the ball more!
theProf
Turner is missing Ovie and trying not to make excuses. The Falcons Offensive Line can not effectively open a hole or a running lane. Ovie helped to cover-up that particular weakness in the OL, and now that he's gone it's very apparent.
theProf
I wish we still had Harvey Dahl's attitude , seems like we get punked on the O-lineAtlanta's OL has been adequate the last several years, although not real good. However, this season they have really regressed. Part of the problem could very well be the loss of Harvey Dahl. Right OG has definitely been a problem this year. Reynolds was bad, and Hawley is really a Center trying to play Guard. Clabo has regressed this season after getting his big contract. Too many penalties, very little push in the run game, and allowing too much QB pressure on passing plays. Of course Baker was the poster child for player regression, before he lost his starting job to Svitek. I've been fairly pleased with Svitek's pass protection, but he lacks something on running plays. Falcons RapidReportsTwo additional Rapid Reports were added after I posted yesterday as follows: Dec. 28, 2011 6:10 p.m. - by Knox Bardeen - Smith could look to Adkins for help at LB Coach Mike Smith on LB Spencer Adkins and his increased role in the absence of LB Mike Peterson: “We’ve got a couple of options. I really do, in terms of getting Stephen back. He’s progressing well with his rehabilitation and we certainly hope that 14 days will give us a chance to have him back.” Falcons RapidReports

Even with all that we were still 1 win away from being in the playoffs.

Even with all that we were still 1 win away from being in the playoffs.I remember but what does that have to do with it? The one year Mike showed the "emotion" everyone wanted to see we didnt make the playoffs and as you just said we were 1 game away. 1 game away or 10 games away we were still watching the playoffs without the Atlanta Falcons.
