Tired of the officiating not meaning anything.

It is the difference between 26-23 game and a blowout.

No pass rush? geezzzzzzzzzzz did it happen to be b/c of the holds on 55 and 95 the entire game??????? didn't hurt the 3rd and long completions either.

Brees pass to graham was a huge hold/sack on 95.

Did the falcons play their best game??? NONONONO.

Did the saints play their best game????NONONONO.

The difference was the lopsided officiating.

no offsides no safety no PI on roddy or jones for huge gains. Yet everything was called on the Falcons when they did it.

We lost at home 26-23. No complaints, We lost to the Packers in the playoffs in a blowout, nothing on the refs, the falcons deserved that beating and had nothing to do with the refs but that crap on MNF was a joke and every player and coach on both teams knows it.

I was a big homer Monday night. The game was as a highlight of a player trying to break a long-standing record. The referees were bias, plain and simple. For instance, the comparison that stood out most was the Curtis Lofton hit on the wide receiver that became a 15 yard penalty.

Shortly thereafter, the New Orleans player leads with his helmet and crashes into Tight-End Kelly (89) ribs and no penalty is called. The announcers all agreed that if the Curtis Lofton hit was a penalty, certainly that hit warranted a flag. It was a third down play that ended an important drive.

Quizz Rodgers did hold the linebacker on that pivotal 3rd down play, where Julio Jones caught the ball for a first down only to have it negated. Did you see the many holds on (95) Babineaux and (55) Abraham. On one play the guy tackled (55) Abraham and there were no flags thrown.

You can say I'm crying over the lost, and I am. But seriously, the NFL doesn't respect this organization...thus our players can't play to their full potential. Brees was sacked and he immediately jumped up seeking a flag. Did he expect special treatment? Is he accustomed to being pampered, even during a totally legit sack? Shortly after the no-call came a questionable pass interference call on Weatherspoon.

Look, we lost. However the tone was set early (in the game) that the refs were in New Orleans corner. Drew Brees was destined to break that record on Monday Night Football. Listen Falcons fans, it isn't personal it's business!

I mentioned earlier the Saints are lie Michael Jordan. Their receivers push off and maul the DBs and no call ever... and the O-Line holds every play. No calls. If you breathe on Drew Brees you will get a roughing call. If you get near a WR you will get interference.

Complaining about the officiating has never changed the outcome of a game so there is no point in doing so now. We all know they called a bad game Monday night. We had every chance to make it a real game and we didn't capitalize. Time to move on to the game this week.

They aren't gonna do anything. ****, a coach or player can't even say anything negative about the officiating without getting fined so you know Goddell isn't gonna do anything to fix the issue. Only way to fix the problem is to have a challenge on every single play of the game and that aint gonna happen

Oh whiners, lets do some real revisioning. The only two questionable calls were the non-called holding on the failed screen pass from the end-zone, and the non-called nuetral zone infraction on Rogers.

Say the call the safety and award the Falcons 2 points. Instead of punting from near the goal line, it's a free kick from the 20. That all equals WORSE field posiiton for the Falcons on a drive they did nothing on anyway. Conclusion = inconsequential.

Nuetral zone is only a 5 yard penalty. Does that change the entire course of the game to make it more competitive? My guess is NOT!

The other calls were all legitimate. Helmet to helmet on a defenseless player. Can't grab a DB by the shoulder pads and throw him down. Must block an oncoming blitzer, not tackle him.

Saints had 4 penalties for 46 yards. Falcons 5 for only 57.

Saints have been victimized by even worse that resulted directly in touchdowns being either put on or taken off the board in favor of the opposing team. Still 12-3.

Yes, it is obvious that bad officiating can ruin games. Being a Falcons fans we are all accustomed to it. The only thing worst than the officiating this game was our so called offensive and defensive units. We wouldn't have won this game with the officials on our payroll. JMHO

Probably not but maybe some of those calls will go our way next time. Bad calls are part of the game. If it helps us win or helps them win. It is what it is. Its like weather conditions. You have to over come them.

But its a proven fact that home teams have a advantage on network games. Like what replays are shown on the screen. Potential flags against the home team are slow going up on the replay unless its to late to call.

The point is Curtis Lofton’s hit was legal as well. Go back and watch the play again. The WRs head came down to the LBs head after he had made contact the LB did not try to cause head to head. It was the WR just curling up after contact. I bet if you ask the Saints players they we say it was a good play and no flag should have been thrown.

The problem is it takes a lot out of a team when they make a legal play and get a penalty called for it.

Bad officiating is just a fact of the game. I can not count the times I've seen a very obvious mistake made by the refs and then upheld when challenged. Good teams respond and overcome bad officiating with great play and go on to win the game. Teams like ours let it get in their heads and they play poorly resulting in what would have been a close game turning into a blowout.

The one penalty that I didn't understand was the one where Abraham got tackled in the End Zone and the flag was thrown. It wasn't a penalty because Mr. Brees was throwing a screen pass. Huh?

John Abraham gets tackled in the end zone. Ref throws the flag. After a conference picks up the flag by saying "there is no holding on the player because it was a screen-pass and he was shredding the defender." I have NEVER in my life heard of that explanion in a football. Not from a referee, broadcaster, sports writer or anyone.It's an abosolute disgrace. About as disgraceful as the Saints running up the score to make sure Drew Brees got his precious record and MNF slobbering all over it. It was the **** Katrina game all over again and it's disgusting.

That is just false! Lofton needs to get lower and lead with the shoulder plain and simple. Saints players got caught with the same helmet to helmet crap and it cost them 7 points against the Bears on an extended drive. The penalty happened on 3rd and long. Guess what? They still WON the game!

The NFL wanted the Saints to win THIS game, we have seen special games before with the Saints where they got special officiating, not every game the Saints play has the kind of importance this and one or two others have had. The officiating is usually unbiased, but when not if it IS biased, small differences in the way calls are made and their timing makes the outcome of the game a certainty. They just did a very bad job of disguising their intentions Monday night. It was really bad officiating because they could not pull it offf.

The same goes for the NBA, these are businesses, and that does not make it right. I don't care if you believe in the purity of our institutions or not, but the Falcons could not have won that game Monday night, and if they packed it in early it was for good reason. They were competitive in the beginning of the game.

If they were going to call the Lofton hit as a personal foul, then the Jenkins hit on Kelly was a PF, and the hit later in the game(maybe by Jenkins again) at the knees of 'a defenseless receiver', Roddy as he ran the skinny post should have been called.

And the explanation of the 'non' holding call in the endzone was a huge pile of crap...the ref had to literally think of a BS excuse on the fly.

Its amazing to me how Jeff Triplett still gets to ref NFL games.

Pro football talk had a article on the same thing. To put it in affect to the Reggie kelly hit. He was defenseless because he did not have time to establish himself in a defensive position to obtain impact from the hit by jenkins. Same with the hit on roddy, he caught the ball and before he could make a move he had his knees taken out from underneath him. Now to me I don't see how that does not make either of those players look any less defenseless than colston? Regardless the game was lost by the falcons the officiating did a terrible job calling the game
