Ryan/brees Post Game Handshake. Anyone Else Here This?

I heard it too. They started with good game blah, blah, blah; Matt congratulated Brees and wished him good luck; then he said something about 'see you in a couple of weeks'. They talked for a relatively long time as far as QB handshakes go.

I heard Brees talk to Grimes. Grimes said something about the hit/push on the sideline. It was the play in the fourth qrtr where on 3rd down Brees scrambled from his end zone and almost made a first down and Grimes shoved him or hit him just before Brees was out of bounds. They seemed to be joking about - Grimes seemed apologetic.

Payton finished talking to someone and saw Ryan walking away. He actually jogged up to Ryan and called out to him (because Ryan turned around before Payton caught up). I bet Payton talked about the last TD and going for the record (which I think Payton or Ryan acknowledged that they discussed).

I didn't hear all of the exchange, but I did hear Matt Ryan say, "Hope to see you again soon."

I believe him. And that is not a knock on the Saints and how great they played Monday night and most of the season.

What the heck else would you expect him to say...you're my daddy? Of course Ryan wants another shot........he wants that Lombardi..........

We as fans over analysis what the players and coaches themselves feel. They normally respect one another. When I played ball, we never worried too much about the press or fans. We worried about ourselves as a team.

If a player said he didn't want another shot after a loss, as a coach, I'd cut him off my team. Ryan stated the obvious when he said that.

Ryan is a very smart, young, talented qb. He is capable of mounting a winning season year after year. Is he a world beater like brees, brady, and rodgers? No, and he never will be.

But he is a solid qb who will lead the falcons to decent seasons in the future.

Would i love to have him as our backup to Brees instead of Chase Daniels? Hellll yea. wink.png

Gotta remember, the three you listed are (or, in Rodgers' case, will be IMO) all top 10ish all time.

Ice will be fine.

You do realize ambiguous is another word for uncertain. And I am 100% positive the Saints are Falcon Killers. Nothing uncertain about that.

On another note. I wouldn't keep having to reincarnate myself on this board if not for that softie banker bird. That guy stays butt hurt.

Thats not what I meant. Its not certain who you pull for. Seems like it trends with the win loss record.
