I Even Bleed Red
This isn't the biggest point you look toward after the Falcons Monday night game, but it's worth noting. Chris Owens ran down Darren Sproles on a kickoff return in the third quarter, and the Saints ended up with just a field goal.If you'll recall, Owens ran down Percy Harvin on a kick return in Week 12. The Falcons actually stopped the Vikings on fourth down afterwards, and it was a game changing moment that Owens started. They need more players with his drive. It looked like of lot of guys were giving up in this loss. If everyone played with the kind of heart Owens showed there, they could make a lot more happen. He has the speed and he tries hard. He still has much work to do, but if we can get him some real coaching, he will be alright. He certainly plays hard...and at the risk of sounding cliche, that's all I can really ask for from someone. F*ckTheSaints
Definitely love seeing that kind of hustle out of one of our players. Especially one whose struggled and been scrutinized to his extent. Hopefully he can work himself onto the field next year with one of the outside corner positions. Guest Negatorris
Can he be our new kick/punt returner? He's fast/strong enough. Only thing Weems is doing good in is not fumbling.
Dominique is Manufique
I like Owens. He isn't a shut down corner by any means but he has a place on the field for sure.(null)
FalcsForLife
I'll say one thing...he is a **** of alot faster than given credit for. Running down Harvin and Sprolls from behind is no small feat.
The O.D.B
Crazy to me that we could'nt train C.Houston to turn his head, even though he usually had good position and we drop him. Now he's shinning on another team. I believe our current DBs are much better than Houston but they are struggling as well. ???How the heck can the saints pull guys from the bench ala-Patriots and the guys can at the very least not cost the team the game. However, the Falcons pull guys off the bench who are talented enough to be starters and they are lost in our defense and oh forget about bringing someone off the bench on offense, They will just excite the fans when they arrive and then we will watch them run around the field with no attention show to them by the play callers. DeaconDawg
Can he be our new kick/punt returner? He's fast/strong enough. Only thing Weems is doing good in is not fumbling. That's what I'm thinkin'. Dude can flat out fly and doesn't fade after about 40-50 yards like most. I say put him back there and see what he can do.For a guy that scares me to death as a NB, he is an awesome special teamer. No quit in him. Unlike some on this team. telfo
I can mock his coverage abilities all day, but I will never question that he goes 100% all the time.
LADBABY
Nobody is going to give props to big, fat Peria Jelly who also ran Sproles down from behind, soI might as well step up and say well done big man! Now I need to point out that you can also go getthem on the other side of the line of scrimmage. That is not being taught up at Flowery Branch butit is legal! Padawan Knight
I can mock his coverage abilities all day, but I will never question that he goes 100% all the time.Agreed. He IS beginning to show some promise on Special Teams. Hopefully he can continue that, gain some confidence, and have it spill over to his CB position. Tribal Chief
I respect the fact that he gives 100% on every play but I can't quite understand how he gets beat so much with all that speed
Depth from Above
It's called Soft Zone Scheme......I respect the fact that he gives 100% on every play but I can't quite understand how he gets beat so much with all that speed
Tribal Chief
It's called Soft Zone Scheme......We try to use that excuse to defend Dunta but that doesn't fly around here
kiwifalcon
CO but again I think the no give up thing is a locker room thing and the culture within the team. While he isn't a NB he can do the job on the outside when defending he's a good team guy he isn't a pro bowler just a good team guy and with the emergence of Dominique Franks I think we have a couple of keepers with these two. Thelonious Mingus
He will be great when he leaves this defensive scheme.

DirtyBirdInThe610
He isn't going to change my opinion of him as a corner but he proved Monday and the Minnesota game that he does'nt quit on special teams but we still need more/bigger bodies at corner if we want to go anywhere. ki46dinah
Nothing wrong with good special teams players...not every guy has to be a probowl player at their positions.

dmite
Owens is a real good gunner on punts too. Weems is good at that too.
Steel City Falcon
Yea he might struggle to cover people. But he's a nice gunner on ST
