Almost 400 yards of passing - no rushing yards and no QB pressures/sacks

Face it--our running game is at a standstill--we have no real run threat against GOOD Teams

Turner is just too slow hitting the hole--he has been good at times this year but he looks burned out now

On a 4th and 1 do you feel confident Turner can get it.....NO

If he is not a burner anymore then he at least needs to be a bruiser and he is not--sure once he gets a head of steam and runs for 5+ yards he can have people bounce off of his momentum - but he is not good at short yardage where you can consider it a lock---and he is not good at taking FULL advantage of holes when they are there because he has lost his burst -so what is an 5 to 10 yard gain for Turner would have been 20+ for the Blounts and Ivorys

Our Pass Rush is non-existent against GOOD teams, last weeks game and this week are perfect examples--last week on Thursday they lit it up against a sorry Oline on a team that is in disarray from firing their coach--this week against a rock solid opponent --nothing and the same can be said when we play anyone who is a playoff caliber team

No run game and no pass rush equals one and done - i dont care if Ryan passes for 350-400+ yards

Oh--and one last thing----we have no Punt Return game either

Weems used to be MODERATELY good--now he is sadly mediocre

We need an exceptional return threat, real pass rush and a much better running back

Do you think Rodgers would have been better against the Saints?

Our Run blocking upfront to is a problem also to me the line has to establish a hole early and Turner hit the hole at speed from 7 yards deep whats happening because Turner is north south runner when he's getting to the line he doesn't have the directional quickness to cut back and as seen by his running last night once the intial hole is taken away and he is redirected and he is easy meat for the LBers.

PS he misses Mughelli bigtime as a lead blocker also. His best game where he got to use that north south runover type game was against the Titans as he was able to lay the wood hitting the hole early and moving defenders at the 2nd level.

I honestly believe this to be true

Rodgers, Brees, Brady.....those three are on another level.

Ryan's not there yet.....but he could be later on. Brady and Brees have continued to get better in their 6th, 7th, 8th seasons and so on.

No reason Matt can't do that too.

I agree with most of what you said.

However, I think Turner is good enough to produce. The bigger issue is the offensive line... and this applies to the run and pass.

Our situational play calling is atrocious at times. There was the play where it was 3rd and 1, at like the 7 yard line or something. We lined up in a heavy package, one WR, and ran a play action roll out where Ryan had absolutely no time. I ******* hate that call. I hate that every time we have 3rd and short or 4th and short, we either run it up the middle, or fake the run, leaving Ryan with few options. Put Ryan in the gun, give him options, and let him survey the field and make a quick throw and decision. Don't hamstring him by giving him only one option on a play.

When your defense NEVER forces a punt, it's difficult to have ANY punt return game. Nice to see we got lots of practice last night watching kickoffs.

The Saints actually did punt twice last night. Unfortunately, their punter/kickoff guy is just an absolute freak. One of his punts went out of bounds after going about 50 yards and the other was a 59 yard bomb that Weems called a fair catch on.

The Falcons have to be the worst team in the league at picking up 1 yard. I don't know what the answer to that problem is, but it's a legitimate and consistent gripe with this offense.

Great call. I saw that and couldn't believe my eyes. It happened in the fourth quarter with falcons down big. In that situation the saints don't care if you get the first down so they send the house. We call a play action that turns matts back to defense and right into the blitz. And it was 2 yards to go. Brees the way we were running no way the falcons get it. Just a bad call at the time.

They did the spread the field out and let Ryan make the decision on 3rd and short a couple of times earlier and that didn't work either.

Did the falcons throw this game so brees could get his numbers on monday night football? Why would they do that? Because the falcons had already made the play offs and they are not that bad a team to get blown out 45-16. The last td he made was between 3 defenders .The falcon defense let the saints do anything they wanted to in that game. Also why would you give your players 3 days off from practice when you playing a div rival?

This team is done in terms of being taken seriously as a contender for a Super Bowl or deep run in the play-offs. There are so many problems it's hard to even figure out what to address first, but this team is going to have to be overhauled from top to bottom before it has a chance to get anywhere in the post-season.

Haven't you heard? Running the ball is outdated and sacks are overrated.
