Espn: Baker May Start Over Svitek Due To Groin Injury

Recommended Posts

There’s a very interesting situation brewing in Atlanta.

The Falcons’ offensive line, which has had its share of issues this season, could have a change on the horizon. Left tackle Will Svitek sat out his second straight day of practice with a groin injury.

Svitek has started the past six games after Sam Baker went down with a back injury. The Falcons went 4-2 with Svitek starting and a lot of fans believe Svitek has been an upgrade over Baker, a first-round draft choice in 2008.

But, if Svitek is unable to go Sunday against Carolina, Baker could be back in the starting lineup. Baker practiced on a limited basis Wednesday and Thursday.
