We could still be 8-8 or 9-7 IMO because our WR's have sheer physical talent, as do many other skill positions. Also our Defense is better than the Saints HANDS DOWN. Deeper, faster for sure. Plus we don't have a D that's used to playing with a lead and pinning their ears back so it's an easy discussion. Take Brees off that team and they will be Colts reincarnated.

If you compare the preseason games where the backup QBs played, the Saints were still putting up points and winning, it was a huge dropoff and all loses with backups for Falcons the entire preseason,

The Saints put up 21 points against Colts in just one quarter, the Falcons starters put 21 points on Colts the entire 1st half of the game, Chase Daniel is going over every play with Bree's on sideline every game and they work out together everyday.

Curtis painter goes over plays with manning and tosses the ball to Kelvin Hayden...so Daniel isn't some protege

Daniel was impressive last preseason, when he cemented his place as the No. 2 quarterback on the roster. He completed 31 of 48 passes for 369 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions during the 2010 preseason.

Then in the regular season, he made two cameo appearances -- scrambling for a 16-yard run at Carolina in Week 9, then completing two of three passes for 16 yards against Tampa Bay in Week 17.

Saints. Daniels is a huge drop off from Brees. Their offense revolves around Brees and the passing game. It'd even hurt their running game because teams wouldn't be as concerned with their passing game and can concentrate effort on making the Saints be one dimensional.

Also Daniels probably never wants to see Lofton ever again. Lofton went Ray Lewis 2000 Superbowl on Daniels in big 12 championship a few years ago.

We would just ask Redmon to be even more of a game manager and our offense wouldn't have as big of a hiccup as the saints.

I have two words for you. Doug Johnson

There is a direct comparison for this, chase Daniel came in for 3 drives with just run game at end of Colts game and ended with 21 points, Ryan and the rest of their starter ran almost every play of last 3 drives against Colts and ended with "0" points!! What more direct comparison could you make than that, the same team two weeks apart running essentially the same plays, Starters on one side, Backup QB with starter RBs on other side.

EPIC FAIL

So based on this, you guys would be 1-15. Wow. Come on Big A. Be consistent. Either accept the 2011 Colts as a 0-16 team that is like facing a practice squad or consider them a NFL hard on luck. You can't use them as an example when trying to prove a point then use them to disprove another point

With all these superstars your team should be 8-0, not 5-3.

I had a dream last night that Brees got hurt on a blitz from Spoon. Im not saying I want this to happen. ph34r.png It was just a dream! Id think the Saints would be worse off though. Like it was stated above, weve got some superstars who could ride us to 7/9 pretty easy.

Don't know what you are getting at, this is a direct comparison of our backup QB and our running game versus your starting QB and run game in the same exact situation against the very same team. How else better to support the arguments than testing the exact situation that was the topic of conversation. With Backup QB, Saints were still able to score points with run game, Falcons with starters and using just run game werent even able to extend drives.

You know what was an EPIC FAIL? When the Saints went into STL the following week and........ well u know the rest. I would like to personally thank the Saints for opening the door for our team to take over the division due to their EPIC FAIL of a performance against the winless Rams. If we win the division, the Saints will be kicking themselves over that loss. I LOVE SAINTS v. FALCONS week. Its the best!
