Sheldon Cooper
He knows what they did last year. Do we have the talent/scheme to defend the eagles as successfully as the vikings did last year?
IrishFalco
Depends on which Vick we see.
Sun Tzu 7
He knows what they did last year. Do we have the talent/scheme to defend the eagles as successfully as the vikings did last year? They did some creative things with blitzes that confused.I'm sure we'll do the exact same thing we've been doing but even more of it... More zone... More 3-3-5 no pressure... More delayed blitzes that don't get home and give Vick HUGE lanes to run through.VanGorder has never seen anything like this but I'm sure he thinks he has it all figured out because if the success he had when he was at UGA scheming against college kids where he had some of the best athletes in the country
Sheldon Cooper
I do hate seeing our LB's blitz only to get stuck in a spot and stay there. They get engulfed and dont show ability to slip blocks or get off blocks quickly. I hope the next LB we draft is a great pass rusher and run defender, while being solid in pass defense.I noticed LB's blitzing against us in PS and they came on delayed blitzes if the OG and OC doubled a DT and left an opening. They ran through untouched. Our guys seem to blitz on the snap and get stuck in the sand.Weatherspoon has the most potential as a blitzer particulary on delayed blitzes when the double team frees a lane. He is fast, moves well laterally, and generally wraps up and tackles well. He is also great in coverage though. We need one more OLB like him so we can drop or rush from eiether side depending on the formation. crankdatfalcon
did you just really compare the defense edwards was on last year to the defense he's on this year?????? The vikings front 4 is far better than what we have now so there is no comparision...

DavyDmx
He knows what they did last year. Do we have the talent/scheme to defend the eagles as successfully as the vikings did last year?We are going to miss Babs tremendously as his pressure up the middle causes havoc. Our d-line isn't as stout as Minny's is but is capable of putting pressure on the quarterback. If we can get consistent pressure with the front four I believe we can punish a very suspect offensive line this Sunday.

He's a tremendous loss.
