Still In Development

somebody said that Matt Ryan IS a great QB; I said "NO, just GOOD"

I have given it more thought in light of another that most would agree IS great.

TOM Brady! When people started saying how great he was a few years ago,

I was not on the bandwagon. Only now since he got record yards againt

Miami. If you watch Brady's after-game press conference on the Pat's

web site, he is a lot like Matt Ryan giving lots of credit to all the other

members of the team and the receivers and the opposing team.

if it took TOM Brady all of 6 seasons to get his fumbles lost

from 12 down to 4, maybe we could be a little more patient

with Matt Ryan. Let's consider him still in development.

Not GREAT but could soon be.

Brady said something to the effect that there is

a thin line between taking chances that pan out

and playing out of control, a thin line.

like the optimism and a pretty reasonable comparison.

i don't know if it's also a saying in America, but here we say "Rome wasn't built in a day".

I agree whole-heartedly, nomak! We, as fans, in all of our passion for our team get our emotions caught up in losses and wins. He has barely begun his fourth season in the NFL; and, I believe he will be fine. It is best he had a game like this at the beginning than to have it later on in the season.

I agree. Ryan's had a heck of a career thus far and continues to improve his fundamentals every season. He's accurate and has a quick release. His biggest limitation right now is mobility. The O-Line isn't protecting the pocket. Matt Ryan is a game-film junkie. I'm sure he's aware of his limitations and is working on ways to extend the play.

Ryan needs to trust his receivers and get the ball out and let them make a play for the ball. if he hits a few 15-20 yard passes, the defense will have to back off and to try to cover the receivers, which would open up the run game, which would open up the play action pass, which helps out the line
