SmoothM0ve
I don't think the score is a clear indication of the Rams game plan. They were well on their way to make the Eagles look bad except they lost their Star back who was eating them up and gave the eagles a lucky turnover for a touch down. The Falcons are way more talented than the Rams. Below is a breakdown of Vick quarter by quarter:Quarters Att Comp Pct Yds Avg Lng TD Int 1st 1st% 20+ Sck Rate 1st Quarter 8 4 50.0 75 9.4 41 1 0 3 37.5 2 1 122.4 2nd Quarter 18 7 38.9 83 4.6 20 0 0 6 33.3 1 1 53.7 3rd Quarter 2 2 100.0 32 16.0 26 1 0 2 100.0 1 0 158.3 4th Quarter 4 1 25.0 -3 -0.8 0 0 0 0 0.0 0 1 39.6 If the Falcons can control him in the first and run the ball and then make effective adjustments to account for half time changes by the eagles; Vick will wear down. Also defensively they're nothing to be afraid of because again: THE RAMS OFFENSE MADE THEM LOOK MORTAL. Vick will run, but will also wear down with enough hits. On offense, if Turner runs like he is capable, the DBs will be neutralized. For instance, Nnamdi looked very ordinary against their no name receivers. However, all of this will depend on Matt Ryan remaining Mr. Consistent:Quarters Att Comp Pct Yds Avg Lng TD Int 1st 1st% 20+ Sck Rate 1st Quarter 9 8 88.9 84 9.3 30 0 1 4 44.4 1 0 66.0 2nd Quarter 8 6 75.0 28 3.5 12 0 0 1 12.5 0 1 79.2 3rd Quarter 17 10 58.8 113 6.6 32 0 0 5 29.4 2 3 78.8 4th Quarter 13 7 53.8 94 7.2 28 0 0 4 30.8 1 1 77.1Again, the Eagles defense can become very ordinary if we run the ball effectively and Matt Ryan plays consistently across the quarters. If we do these two things, the DBs will bite and our receivers will definately do a better job than the rams. BUT WE MUST RUN THE BALL SUCCESSFULLY. Guest Big A
Your argument is very weak because as has been mentioned on this board as the most important stat is points per game, Vick had 2 TD's o Int, Ryan OTD's 1INT 1 turnover. But even more important part of your argument is that the Falcons are a much better team than Rams, yet nothing in this season from today's games or preseason support this statement in any way. The Falcon Jedi Knight
Chicago has one of the worst Secondary's in the NFL, and yet somehow we couldnt challenge them. Chicago also has one of the worst O-Lines in the NFL (besides our own), one of the worst WR corps in the NFL and we couldnt stop them.God help us against Philly. Run the ball. That's what we do. Turner only had 10 carries and had huge gains, why not continue feeding him? We beat the bears with the same Matt Ryan during his rookie year because we ran the ball. It's all about a great game plan and playing your strengths. If QB play was everything, why did Cam set a rookie record and still walk away with an L? Why did the defense allow the bears to score, their D didn't allow ours.Atlanta can be cute and run exotic formations with deep throws. But if it doesn't work, go back to our strength...running the ball. It can eat up the clock, keep Vick cold and minimize the eagles time for big plays. The Rams were about to do this very thing until S. Jackson hurt his leg.

Seems like turner has lost like half his speed since he signed with us. Don't get me wrong, I think he'll have a good game, but we'll need a bit more than him to win. Did the run game win it for us? Were we not hanging in their with Turner? Was Matt Ryan Consistent? Skin of the teeth victory, but we got the win. We are better than the Rams.
