Alot of overreacting.

Like all of you, I saw the game today.

I saw a huge mess on our offensive line leading to Matt getting rattled and making the decision to check-down a million times.

I saw the debacle on defense where nobody could make a tackle and I saw the screens that constantly lead to big plays for the Bears. Dunta looked like he was learning to roller-skate for the first time and our QB literally dropped the ball.

We drove the ball down the field several times only to commit careless turnovers. Turner doesn't fumble to often, but did in Bears territory.

2 Matt Ryan turnovers.

WHEN IT RAINS... IT POURS. Every team is out-classed on some days.

Take a look at the Steelers today. Something tells me their messageboard isn't blowing up about how they need to make a million changes.

----

NOBODY has more wins than Matt Ryan in their first games in the league other than Dan Marino...

This is not the result of our stellar defense,

This is not the result of our stellar playcalling... so what is it?

We've all seen Ryan win us games time after time, it's pretty discouraging to watch the board turn on him after one bad game where everything was going wrong.

You compare the Steelers fans to our fans.

Please go compare the Steelers history to our history and that explains the difference in the reactions.

I hate this argument more than ANY other and perhaps this is exactly the reply I needed to further prove my point.

The Steelers long-storied history has NOTHING to do with this current team they have. Lynn Swann didn't play under Mike Tomlin.

OUR recent history is BETTER THAN ANY other team as far as win % with our current QB. We've added talent at positions of need after having the best record in the league.

Why are we so quick to overreact after one game where we CLEARLY beat ourselves?

Exactly. Way too much FAIL by Falcons teams over too many years to expect fans to simply ignore this latest lame-tarded display of clownishness.

Because good teams dont beat themselves.

One game, Jedi.

If Matt comes out the next three weeks and shows us that his 2 turnovers are a habit...

If the defense gives up big play after big play to Philly and Tampa and we are 0-3...I will be right here on this board weeping about how awful our team is looking with the rest of you...

But the fact of the matter is, we have won 13 of our last 17 regular season games with Matt Ryan as our quarterback, Dunta Robinson playing corner, BVG running the defense and MM calling the plays.

Wins over the Saints, Packers and Ravens included.

I'm sorry, but if you think that all of a sudden... we no longer have the ability to play in those games, you are DELUSIONAL.

We seem to always look bad in our first road game of the year under this regime.

Well if you look at the last 2 home games, Saints and Packers, there isn't much to brag about there either

The Steelers went to the Super Bowl last year and we got our azzes handed to us at home in the 2nd round.

Our Recent history features no playoff wins. Some of you are easily satisfied.

Best thing said in this thread hands down!

Veteran teams werent affected so much by the lockout but we have a VERY young team and that cohesion that is gained during that time is worth more than a lil something.

We have additions and this team always gets better as the season goes.

WHEN we beat the Eagles sunday night, everybody will be in love with the Falcons again.

Some people need to get off the emotional roller coaster and stop getting depressed in losses and becoming world beaters in wins.

Geeezzzzz...

We lost to the Super Bowl champs last year.

The Cardinals ended up in the Super Bowl the year we lost to them, that was Ryans first playoff game.

How many playoff games did it take Peyton to win one?

If our recent history were not so good, why are you all so disappointed right now?

Some of you expect too much, too soon.

It's pretty silly to expect ANY quarterback to win every single game they play. The Jets, Ravens, Cowboys, Chargers aren't winning the super-bowl every year and they are not in dismay every time the team loses a game. Coincidentally, they all have YOUNG quarterbacks as well.

The Manning example has been beaten to death...the playoffs are a whole different animal than the regular season. That will come with time. Something that apparently nobody is willing to give this team.

Are you even a Falcons fan? What are we arguing here? The fact that I should be throwing the team under the bus and questioning whether we are any good after one game? Seems ridiculous.

It's almost as if the majority of the posters on this board WANT to have something to gripe about.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble guys, but we weren't going to go 16-0 and we aren't going to go 15-1 or even 12-4.

Steelers suck, Cowboys suck, Giants suck, Saints suck....

Steelers suck, Cowboys suck, Giants suck, Saints suck....

Cowboys, Giants, and Saints were all in close games and looked like they understood how to play the game of football. The Steelers were in the Super Bowl last year. Falcons look lost and have no idea what to do anymore. They look bad in every aspect of the game.

Last 2 games that counted Falcons have been beaten 78-33.

I believe as a lifelong Falcon fan I have a right to be concerned. If anyone else isn't that's fine. I don't presume to tell other fans how they should feel.

Don't presume that you have the right to dictate to me how I should react to the Falcons either.

Absolutely, you have aright to be concerned but one game doesn't dictate the season.

As fans of football, haven't we seen this before? Teams have great starts then fizzle out.... teams start horribly and then explode at the right time (superbowl Giants come to mind)

No excuses this first game sucked but it's not over...until we lose our 9th game of the season, its Super Bowl or Bust for me.
