Gimmesomo!!!
He makes too much to play so poorly. He makes our Franchise QB situation look like a joke. Even worse, he plays soft. Matt, if you know the play(book) isn't up to Your snuff You have to be man enough to say so! Although, you're being severely tested, I believe You deserve thr benefit of the doubt due to the fact that We as an organization are not aligned to your real strengths. Your arm strength is average at your level but your QB savvy is not. Your highest comparison may truly be that of Joe Montana, simply because he knew how to best use his specific tools to channel a Win. Unless You do the same then Doubt will befall You buddy. We all see the Champion in You when you dig your deepest, so instead of trying to please US, just go dig your deepest for YOU! Then this team will come together. But the playcalling is guessable. DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT!

I swear to god he is turning into Joey Harrington.

CrawfishJones
No question his YPC (Yards Per Completions) has to improve which is why the Front Office pulled the trigger on Julio Jones. Look for bigger passing games once he gets over his fear of throwing downfield

I swear to god he is turning into Joey Harrington. He's Hasselbeck level right now. When Ryan came in as a rookie I've always thought of him as a high floor/low ceiling type of player. He was pre-packaged coming in ready for use that's why he had so much success early on. The problem is his growth is limited and he has no physical attributes that stands out like Rodgers, Freeman, Bradford, ect. What you see now is what your going to get from him. We need All-Pro talent around him to succeed. Cam's team is garbage and he came out from the gate and had them on his back the whole game. The Falcon Jedi Knight
This post should make Swift very happy. I dont care about Swift. I just call it like I see it, and I have seen a disturbing trend since Ryan's rookie season. He has become more and more cautious, checking down all the time, and the stats of his Yards Per Completion the past 2 seasons reinforce this. Ryan seems to be indecisive, he's holding on to the ball too long, he seems to be zipping thru his progressions and checking down too fast. He's losing his nerve. When he was a rookie he stepped up in the pocket, eyes downfield and fired away. When was the last time you saw him do that?

The longest he had without having to scramble was around five seconds.
Psychic Gibbon
He needs to trust that his receivers will make plays instead of waiting for them to get open. The talent is around him and now it's time for him to make use of it. In essence, he needs to grow some cojones.

#1 pick
I am sick of him now. I thought getting someone like Julio would make him say "f*uck it, I am chucking it to Julio or Roddy" but no, NO. Matt needs to man up and just say f*ck it, I want to win. Ryan's definitely not soft.Well it looks as if his brain registers "hits" before or even if they never get there. He's not getting hit because of the O-Line, he's getting hit because he's playing passively. Good defenses smell fear. As do good offenses. Unless Ryan can jack himself up from "Matty Ice" to "Matty Not Afraid To Go For Broke" then idk how good of an oline they'll need to boost his confidence. I swear to god he is turning into Joey Harrington. That is JUST what I was thinking. He looke JUST LIKE Joey Harrington today. Harrington always prefered to dump it off than to take the chance of an interception by throwing it downfield. And then after every game, even after playing awfully, he would take media interviews with a "well, we just have to fix a few things and play better." Harrington had that method down pat so much a verb was created in his honor:Matt pulled a harrington today....BIGTIME!
CrawfishJones
YPA, YAC, YPC ... we could stand to do infinitely better across the board.Actually, it's his YAC that's dropped significantly since his rookie year, from 13.0 to 10.4 (-2.6) last year. In any case, he needs to heave it downfield to his talented receivers
Banned
Cutler didn't have a problem doing it and he's supposed to be beneath Ryan....Your right but that was because either BVG or our defense fcked up. We didn't have a good enough O Line to double Peppers without leaving out another liability and that is where we failed.
OBF
Cover two plays a role in this too. That kind of D wants you to dink n dunk. You and your team just gotta unleash the dragon.
Homer Dude Man
Given, Matt did not have a good game today. I will still hook my wagon up to him any day. I'm not sure who to point the finger out on the offense, QB or the OC. I would like to think that MM would not call short passes all day. I will say this, I'm a huge fan of Matt Ryan, but the dude needs to throw down field more often, he looked shy in the pocket today. We came no where close to meeting potential today, let's get it together and take the Eagles behind the woodshed next week. We are tied for first in the NFC South. We expect him to be a pain just like JA55 was for Chicago but guess, Cutler wasn't scared and played like a man. Ryan is a teletubbie. The Falcon Jedi Knight
You can't ask for more than five seconds. I don't recall many plays with that amount of time though ....Ryan had plenty of time to make throws. He had 3 and 5 seconds. Its the NFL - you are going to get pressured. The O Line sucked garbage, I saw that. But good QBs adjust, they go into 3 step drops and fire slants to combat that. Ryan just panicked. Like he did against Pittsburgh. Like he did against GB. Im just starting to have doubts that Ryan is never going to overcome this and get over the hump.
