0-1 doesn't mean anything

heartbreaking loss for sure, but it seems like nobody noticed all nfc south teams lost today... this loss doesn't set us back in the divisional race.

I also think, most things, that went wrong today, can be fixed.

- O-line should get better in time and with McClure back

- DBs just have to be more focused and be in sync (sanders and hayden will help pretty soon, too)

- Offense has to stay to their gameplan, we can't win with only 10 michael turner carries

with that, I think we should be fine. D-line looked good and so did the run defense and with all nfc south teams losing, it's like all being 0-0 again next week.

so, no worries here :) we'll be fine :)

I completely agree with you. Unfortunately 90% of the people on this board like to complain and whine all day.

Every game is important so 0-1 DOES mean something because it was to a nfc team.

The good thing is like you mentioned the whole division is 0-1 and all lost to nfc opponents.

Every loss sucks but one loss by 1 or by 18 does not equate to the quality of the team.

I didn't want to say, it didn't mean anything. It's important for the NFC championship maybe, but when you win the division, you go to the playoffs and the regular season record doesn't count there.

Many people around here are just overreacting, like last year after game one. It's still a great team and they still can win the nfc south :)

Complaining about it isnt going to change anything though. We lost. Time to get over it and look to the next week.

This is a message board what do you think this message board is here for? It's here for fans to discuss the team. Do you guys think fans won't complain after their team just got beat 30-12?

Everything is all good though? Us complaining doesn't control our team. I'll look to next week when the Eagles game start. Today is still sunday and the game just ended 5 hrs ago.

I wouldn't call it complaining, that after one loss everybody is screaming: "cut this guy, cut that guy, get rid of ......" that's not complaining, it's not discussing something, it's just overreaction. everybody should see that most problems we had today are fixable and acting like the sky is falling, is not acting like a fan, to me.

heartbreaking loss for sure

That wasn't a heartbreaking loss. That was a slaughter. A heartbreaking loss is when your team tries to win with every effort possible and they come up just short, like last year's first game against Pittsburgh. This game was a shame! The Falcons were not competitive. And, COMPETITIVENESS is ALL I ASK FOR!

It's easy to say things can be fixed when you lose a tight one. But, the Falcons lost in EVERY facet of the game. They may not have to worry about coming back against most teams. But, next week it's the Eagles in prime time. Sure, the Falcons may score more against a lesser than Chicago defense. But, if the Falcons defense don't get it together, the Eagles may score 50.

I say bounce the two big liabilities on defense: DeCoud and Owens (neither are legit NFL starters and maybe dont even belong on an NFL roster) and play Sanders and Hayden.

and where's the difference between this game and last years philly game? pretty ugly loss, too, and still we went 13-3. even good teams have bad games and a lot of teams bounce back from even the worst losses.

You can bet that the Falcons themselves don't buy this 0-1 doesn't mean anything bit, and I don't buy it either. Yeah we're tied with the rest of the division, but we played horribly and that's why 0-1 matters even more. When you play horribly 0-1 can easily become 0-2, then you're hoping the other teams in our division lose. I really don't want to end up like NFC west last year.
