Hustle Up
I said over and over BVG should have been fired the day after that GB debacle. Now, all the teams have the blueprint on how to rip this defense apart. Even the Bears a team many people felt would be 3rd or 4th in the NFC North with an 8-8 record, tore through that defense.I believe the players are there to get the job done. We don't have the coaching to maximize their abilities. BVG doesn't even know how to make in-game adjustments and this defense has very poor fundamentals. I had hoped the offense would carry this team and we would be 10-6 or 11-5, but they sucked today too. TD needs to re-evaluate the coordinators, or this thing is going downhill really fast.Somebody asked on a previous post why our fans are not as passionate as GB or Philly...this is why. When all eyes are on us, we get our a$$ handed to us.

Menage a tron
The second half of ur post is dead on, dont know what it is - BVG or what not but Ill tell u this is WHY. This team is going the way of the braves in the late 90s i had to put them down back then, you get too emotionally involved and going to the series and to get **** on time and time again, The birds were never destroying teams - Im sorry but TD ****** up when he got Smith - cuz this is NOT a run first league anymore - were not going to buck the system
Osiruz
Both our coordinators should be fired, maybe even the HC.Its pretty obvious the coaching is elementary, and incredibly primitive. Smith's YAFL defense isn't gonna cut it.

Quarterback
BVG is the worst DC in the NFL...and I said this at the beginning of LAST season. For the life of me I never could figure out what qualifications he had that warranted a DC position in the NFL where he has accomplished nothing! That's on Mike Smith! Banned
BVG has fans? I thought they were just UGA homers.Phuck em. Never liked BVG or MM after the Greenbay game. Our coaching blows on both sides of the ball, i've been preaching that since forever.

It's hard for any defenses to hold up with that many turnovers. My beef is with Mularkey. If we had Martz, we probably would be averaging 35 points a game, but with Mularkey you never know. Some games he's good, some he's not.
Falcons_own_nfc_south
I'm not going to call out anyone but why do we rush 3 on 3 and long.. esp we always shows 54 (S.Nicholas) on the D-line whenever we rush 3 on 3 and long.. Do our coaches think other team never watches the tape. Edited September 11, 2011 by falcon_owns_nfc_south
GetUSom3
Finally someone agrees with me. He is in OVER HIS HEAD and if Smitty cannot make the move, he is not the coach for our team.BVG is a TOTAL BUST and it is time Arthur Blank called Smitty and tells him to fire BVG or they can both pack their bags. I like Smitty, but he blew it on BVG and NOT FIRING him at Halftime of the GB playoff game, makes Smitty seem like a non-leader.Disappointed on every level. GetUSom3
For everyone that said we have been "Building" and this is the year it comes together, how to you like BVG now?Still think we are building? Do you see ANY improvement in his coaching style? ANY? His schemes are so easy to read, JAY CUTLER can throw for over 300 yards! JAY CUTLER!!!??? Why don't we run more man??? I just don't understand.I never liked the Van Gorder hiring. He's not NFL Coordinator material.
theDIRTYcode
I'm going to call out a player on defense, Dunta Robinson come on down. He got smoked multiple times today, had both ankles broke, and was an absolute non factor. He hasn't shown anything that makes me think he should be starting opposite Grimes. GetUSom3
Perhaps we should check the BVG Resume and see how he did with his last coaching gig prior to the hiring from the Family Reunion. What was his record on the last team, and on what terms did he leave? Seems like it might be important right now.

Thomas could have saved us 10 points if he could just make a freakin catch on a tip drill. It doesn't even take ball skills to do that. And where's the play-making ability that we've been promised from 'Spoon? I'm too pizzed at him not wrapping up on Forte's TD reception and he's too often caught over-pursuing in the run game.I've been one of the staunchest of supporters for both Robinson and DeCoud, but they both failed BIG time today -- especially Robinson. Missed tackles and not on pass break-up.

Some games he's good, some he's not.Agreed. Our offensive line was dominated (5 sacks), Matt played well but the constant pressure clearly affected him all game, Julio showed that he will be a force this year, DeCoud's 2 dropped interceptions allowed Chicago to continue driving down the field for scores, Dunta looking terrible all game long, and our defense settling for making the "big" hit instead of making the textbook wrap tackle. The Bears whooped us in all aspects of the game and our coaching staff will have it's work cut out for them with The Eagles coming to town next Sunday. ManBwoy
Im going to call out a player too... John Abraham you can stay seated because you were the only bright spot on D today.Easy now. The Bierman also had a solid game. I saw a nifty inside move for a sack + he caught Abe's batted ball & ran it in for the TD. Clearly he needs to take some time in practice to show DeCoud how to run a ****ing tip drill...
