TroubleDawg
Guys, we lost a tough game yesterday. We played hard nosed football and should have won the game going away. We gave them 28 points off of turnovers/non offensive touchdowns. Guys this one wasnt on Richt or the staff. Im not going to call out names, but we all know who made some costly errors yesterday. Also Im tired of hearing the "Fire Mark Richt" theme (I know I also mentioned it last week). Guys we have 10 more football games with him as our head coach period. Can we support our football team and worry about the coaching job after this season? We showed a tremendous improvement not only on the field, but also with our playcalling. Our season is not over. We played probably our toughest 2 opponents of the season. I personally think S Carolina loses 2-3 conference games which means our season is not over as many people are proclaiming 2 games into it.We have a ton to be optimistic about. We have our RB of the future. Malcolm Mitchell will be an all-american WR. Jarvis Jones is a monster. Our secondary is much improved. Before yesterdays game, I had alot of doubts about our program. Now, I feel we can close the season out with a bang and still be in great position. Our fans were loud yesterday. We got behind our team and kept them in the game. What pisses me off is when people decide to leave when something bad happens. Thats kind of what happens on these boards. Instead of bashing our coaches, lets just worry about cheering on our team..Thats all I have. REMEMBER 9-11!

REMEMBER 9-11!Well said Crowell, Yesterday was a great game we just came out with L, our boys played their hearts out and gave it everything they had. If we change 4 or 5 plays we win easy, just gotta keep working hard and getting better. One thing that did bother me was we are down 3 with a little over 2 mins left, 3 TO, and people are leaving. WTF? I maybe alone on this one but that bothered me.

KGDawg710
My linkGood article pretty much backing up what you said. I posted this in another thread. I agree with you. I loved the fight we saw out of the team yesterday. And the crowd was one of the loudest I have heard in my time at UGA. Granted, I have only been to games the past four years, but it was still impressive. Edited September 11, 2011 by KGDawg710

If I could buy you a big fat steak dinner right now I would! What you guys do is amazing, and this country would be nothing without you.The fan thing is kinda a wash I think. When I was watching the Aub/Ut St. game the other day the fans were piling out with 2 mins left. I think it is more of a beating the traffic, not too thrilled about the rest of the game mixture. I do feel better about this season. We played very good, with the exception of the one "unmentionable" player you said. I think he has vastly underperformed this year. He is definately experiencing more growing pains this year than when he went out and just cut it loose last year. However, he looked great running the ball and phenominal throwing in the 2nd half. Hopefully that was the clicking point for him.We can still win the east but it is a very long shot. We didn't do ourselves any favors this week. Tennessee looked real good this year and Florida looks pretty good as well. Guess we will see next week how those 2 match up. We are going to have to work hard and hope for some luck that we have not had this year. Murray has to get back to just playing and stop thinking so dang much.I loved a lot of things about the game yesterday. We controlled field position and the game mostly. Hope that keeps up and we run the table. It is going to take a WHOLE LOT for me to forgive CMR and CMB for that first week. The BSU game was absolutly rediculous. This game helped me feel better, but I have far from forgotten that 1st week pitiful effort our coaches put up. They had 8 months to get this ship ready and they weren't even close to ready. We NEED to win the east and the SECCG for me to totally forget that, but it can certianly happen if we eliminate mistakes. Go Dawgs! Let's get this ship sailing in the right direction against coastal.

That game was vastly different on offense than anything I've seen in recent memory! Richt may not say he had anything to do with it but that was a helluva offensive gameplan yesterday outside of not calling that timeout late in the game. Take the terrible play of Murray away and it's a blowout! SN: Murray has looked like a rec league player these first 2 games. Every game that's been big time Murray has kinda folded in some form or fashion! Either we as fans have given Murray too much credit or he's just not that good... Jury is still out on that one though.

Faithful Falcon
No it's not over, but this is the reason why I hate the BCS. If we had a playoffs system, we could bounce back. In college football, it's almost Championship or bust.
Carter
I was saying this last week and a lot of you were negging me and crap. Glad you guys hopped off the crazy train. Hope we fix the bad stuff, get better where we need to, stay healthy and enjoy finally having a game that isn't balls to the wall.
Pollack4Heisman
Looked a lot like a Richt offense yesterday. Maybe something sly has happened. For some strange reason I really do believe Richt is calling the plays from the sideline and allowing Bobo to provide suggestions, call me crazy. The offense looked really good except for the turnovers, but I was very excited driving home from Athens. I loved the fact that we got Crowell out in space with screens and outside runs, allowed Figgins the chance to rumble, and threw to different receivers not named King. There was a great flow to the game on offense even though we did settle for field goals at the beginning, but I always love seeing a team play with passion and for me I haven't seen that since Pollack and Green left. With that being said, I really believe we run the table and finish the regular season at 10-2. Auburn's defense is hot garbage and they managed to win, so it's not beyond possible.

If UGA beats Ole Miss and Robinson comes back for MSU, I'm confident. If we get through those games and get Ogletree back before UF, I'm very confident. I'm wondering how Herrera is going to progress and I'm waiting for Vasser to move inside.
itsjustafleshwound
And I'd also like to see Ramik move inside if he's doing well. We need him to be cross-trained because our recruiting in OLB's has been loaded and our ILB's almost non-existent this year.

itsjustafleshwound
Yeah, I don't think so. Injuries happen.I'm implying that the performance of the defense may rest upon Christian Robinson. Our starting ILB's are out. We have a freshman and a walkon unless we move Vasser and/or Wilson inside. Against Ole Miss I think we can win easily. Against MSU, I think we need Robinson. itsjustafleshwound
Geez Robinson and Tree? Why do the breaks never go our way?????????????????????????I think that if we move Vasser inside and possibly use Wilson inside that we'll be able to play very well against CC and Ole Miss. Against MSU, I want Robinson back. Anyways, if we can beat Ole Miss without Robinson, we'll have two fresh inside linebackers with two full games of starting experience. I think that Vasser or Williams moving inside (Wilson and Vasser's move not being permanent but more along the lines of cross training) would provide the depth and experience we need. Heck, this could be a positive.
scottp12
Is anybody opposed to moving samuel back to lb? I just believe it would be more beneficial to have him back there. As much as I hate to say it we would have carlton thomas and brandon harton backing up ic.At least let samuel get time at both, bc he isnt thrilling rb. as much as I hate it we could move boykin to rb with one more injury at rb and samuel at lb.Just a thought from a crazy guy, trying to figure out yalls opinions! Billy Ocean
"What's one position you can't afford any injuries?"Richt: "Inside Linebacker" :unsure:Still paying for Jancek...I mean at least Willie is/was a good DB coach. I mean he's working for the #1 team in the country. Fabris was a good DE coach despite his kicking asshattery. And Bobo is doodoo as an OC, but you'd be hardpressed to find a better QB coach. But Jancek? Man that guy sucked at everything.

Keep bobo if you want strickly at QB coach (he is also a good recruiter) BUT if CMR does not make that obvious change (if he doesnt you almost have to think it will be forced, in order for him to keep his job) then CMR stays. I would be fine with just hiring someone from HS paying him 1000$ per game calling him OC and letting Richt call plays. Worked before, worked at FSU, why change it??
