Charles Godfrey got a five-year contract extension worth $27.5 million, including $12.4 million guaranteed, according to his agent.

Seriously, wtf? I think Godfrey can be a good player in time, but really? He played awful last year. Really wanted to keep him in the long term, but I wanted to see MAJOR improvements this season.

The staff must be seeing something different in him this year cause they also named him a team captain. Hope all these contracts workout for future's sake.

None of the above!

It's easy! Tanard Jackson! Now, if he can put that bong down long enough to get his pee pee clean he'll be able to get back out there and prove it to you all!

Not really. Jenkins may or may not have the most "potential" as the talking heads on ESPN say, but as of now Willy Mo' is the best safety in the division.

Both Jenkins and Moore are growing into their positions.

young players.

Both can bring the hammer and both have good ball skills.

But both sometimes miss easy tackles and sometimes have mental lapse.

But that is be expected as they are both.

Seeing Godfrey who is only "ehhh" compared ot those guys get a higher contract then he is worth I am sure make both the saints and falcons FO's not overly happy because if I am not mistaken both contracts are up in the next year or so.

Godfrey 84-total tackles 8 pdef and 5int's

Moore 72 -total tackles 8 Pdef and 5int's

Jenkins 64 - Total tackles 12 Pdef 2int's

Yeah ok Godfrey "ehhh". Falconaid don't let stats get in the way of another stupid opinion by you.

Godfrey is 2 years older while last year was Moors first year starting

A 4th year player who was matched by a first year starter.

yes godfrey is Ehh"

He does not lower the boom like Moore does either.

its not just about pure stats.

Seriously? That's the logic you are going with? Come on man.

Does Moore suck something fierce or something, that any other player of the same position he "matches", is only considered "Ehh"?

Does it work for Qbs also? Freeman was a 2nd year player last year, younger than Ryan, yet he matched Ryan, and at times, looked better than Ryan. Does it make Ryan "ehh"?

Godfrey is still learning. He has gotten better every season. Rivera obviously sees something in him.

You should take Moore matching Godfrey, as more of a compliment to Moore, rather than a dig at Godfrey.

Adrian Wilson 88-tackle 9pdef 2int's

Donte Winter 140-tackles 8pdef 1int's

Troy Polamalu 64 tackles 11pdef 7int's

Chris Hope 87-tackle 5pdef 1int's

Nick collins 70 tackles 11pdef 4int's

We can keep going. More and more I can make you look stupid for that "Ehhh" comment.

Also by using that stupid argument. You're saying that Everette Brown (A guy we just cut)

and Greg Hardy (a 6th round rookie) are way better then Kory Beirmann.

Brown 25 tackles 3.5 sacks 1pdef and 1int (13 games played 2 starts)

Hardy 30 tackles 3 sacks 1pdef (15 games played no starts)

Berimann 36 tackles 3 sacks 2pdef 1int (16 games played 14 starts)

now that is "ehhhhh"

I can't believe I forgot to mock the Panthers over cutting Everette Brown. Now it feels like I missed the party. :(

No you didn't forget. You were being smart. You knew I would comeback with the name Jamal Anderson. Which would make you have to be very very quiet. ^_^

I'm not sure what a great running back that retired a decade ago has to do with anything, if you're talking about Jamaal, he wasn't drafted by Dimitroff.

wow that was incredibly corny.

Anyways, I believe Jenkins is the best in the division. I live in GA so I saw the falcons play alot more than I would have liked to. Moore is great. Hes big, athletic, has good coverage skills, and is the hardest hitting S in the division hands down. I still remember the hit he put on j-stew last year. Jenkins is the perfect FS prospect though. We'll see how they both play this season. Godfrey can be as good as either one of these 2 if he can just be more consistent.

I like mocking koolkat's ability to communicate thoughts. He unravels hilariously.
