Guest Big A
Ask the Lions how much it really matters. If you looked at the stats, it's 31 of 54 teams that went undefeated and made playoffs. So you can ask Lions as well as 22 other teams about going undefeated and making playoffs. Sorry you having problems understanding statistical information. Guest Big A
Why everyone so mad? I'm not giving any sort of opinion, Just actual statistical facts! Of course I know Lions was just one of the 23 that didn't make playoffs after undefeated preseason. Also, I know Colts is one of the 8 teams that made it to playoffs with a winless season. So just because you know one of the teams in the numbers, what does that have to do with that actual numbers? If you want to read into the Colts being one of the few teams to make playoffs after winless preseason, you have to mention the fact Manning is back there at QB and I can't conceive that even with the overwhelming homerism here that anyone would dare say Manning = Ryan, because the stats don't support that one in any way. FalconFanSince1970
...Stats don't look good for Falcons this year so far. They look way better than the stat sheet from the asswhoopin in Lambeau last night. Trust me.If I'm not mistaken CHI and IND made it to the playoffs last year with winless preseason records. You're a failure son. Go back to the bayou. cali_fan420
In 2010, the division-winning Bears, Colts, and Chiefs finished a combined 1-11 in preseasonIn 2002, the Eagles went 1-3 in preseason before finishing 12-4 and making it to the NFC Championship Game.In 2010, Two teams went 0-4: the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts, both of whom won their divisions. There is more, but I'll stop now. pzummo
Wow, you are going back 30 years. That's ridiculous. The game and how coaches approach the Preseason have changed DRAMATICALLY over the last 30 years. How do you feel about these stats?Since 2000:Of the teams that went undefeated in the Preseason (4-0), 55% went 8-8 or WORSE during the regular season.Of the teams that went without a win in the Preseason (0-4), 52% went 8-8 or BETTER during the regular season. A higher percentage of teams have a successful season after going 0-4 than 4-0 in the Preseason.13 teams have gone winless through the Preseason since 2005. Only 4 of those 13 ended up with a losing record during the regular season. Almost half (6) ended up with 10+ wins.Notable teams that recently went 0-4 in the Preseason since 2005. Arizona 2009 10-6 Chicago 2010 12-4 Indy 2005 14-2 Indy 2010 10-6KC 2005 10-6NE 2008 11-
