Guest jb aka johnnybuc
Now, About that DEFENSE....... Seriously, With as potent as Green Bay's offense looked last night and the end of last season and the playoffs. I think the Saints may have just been of victim of scheduling this season! I doubt there is a team in the NFL that would've stood up to the onslaught they put on! The Falcons showed us they couldn't and have done so little to help their secondary it's doubtful they'll be able to stand up to it again this season. And....unless Clayborn & Bowers suddenly become AllPros and we stay completely injury free I don't see the BUCS right now being able to stop Rogers & Company. This doesn't mean I believe the Pack will be undefeated this season but after last night I'd say they're now the odds on favorite to repeat as NFL Champions.BUT.........we still have 30 more team to play this weekend! IN THE NFL, WHAT YOU SEE THIS WEEK ... YOU MAY NOT SEE NEXT WEEK.THAT WAS A POWERFUL DISPLAY OF POWER BY GREEN BAY LAST NIGHT.BUT IT DON'T FILL ME WITH DREAD. I STILL REMEMBER THAT WE BEAT'EMIN A REGULAR SEASON GAME LAST YEAR. BUT IF THEY DON'T GO ON TOBE THE NFC CHAMPIONS ... A LOT OF STUFF WILL HAVE HAPPENED BETWEENNOW AND THEN. AND THERE IS A LOT OF STUFF TO BE YET SEEN.
SaintRay
Agree. The Packers are solid in every phase. The Offense is clicking on all cylinders and Rodgers has his swagger on. They were the better team last night.

It's quit obvious you Falcon fans believe that the Falcons are BETTER than the Packers. But, that's WHY you're Falcon fans.....FACTS are nearly ALWAYS irrelevant when discussing your team. You all looked NO better against them when it REALLY mattered! Again, At least the Saints made them punt!
Laugher
Made them punt 3 times! The defense did look bad indeed, but so did greenbay's!! I mean 2 juggernaut offenses going at it there isn't much neither could do. I told ya they would have around 900-1000 total yards between them! Banned
Made them punt 3 times! Apparently making GB punt 3 times counts as a win for you :wacko:Back on topic though there were many things I derived from the season opener, let's kick off my list: 1) Both offenses looked prolific with neither QB losing a pep in their step. 2) Green Bay can be beat. If New Orleans can rally to keep themselves in the game without success on the ground then Atlanta has a legitimate shot as well. 3) Green Bay has the best receiving core in the league if Randall Cobb plays to his full capacity. 4) Darren Sproles did in one game what Reggie Bush couldn't accomplish in his whole career and i'm glad we have some tape on him so that when it's our turn his checkdown and ST's game can be managed. 5) Last but not least how little of a difference Rodgers and Franklin made because in the end they still got torched and i'm praying the Saints leave Patrick Robinson in man coverage against the Falcons come week 10. And what about Harper??????? My God, he looked like he had cement in his pants all night!
Laugher
Guy if the Falcons offense was even close to what the Packers have I would be worried, but I am not. Good luck this weekend.Just come back and take your licks if/when y'all lose.
ChrisfromLouisiana
The Packers are going to put up a lot of points on everyone this season...the trick is to outscore them...more often than not, 34 points wins you the game in the NFL...now if the Saints couldn't outscore them by putting up 34, it is highly doubtful that hardly anyone else will either...don't think the Falcons have a shot at doing it... My God, he looked like he had cement in his pants all night! They forced a first round draft pick to fill a need on a player who didn't have a standout collegiate career. Guess how that panned out for them?Wait is that # 34 on the ground? LOLOLOLOLOLOL
REV.2000
You keep telling yourself that REV. It's quit obvious you Falcon fans believe that the Falcons are BETTER than the Packers.JB ... HAVE YOU EVER HEARD ME SAY THAT WE CAN BEAT THE PACK?I DID SAY WE BEAT'EM IN THE REGULAR SEASON LAST YEAR. AND WE DID BEAT THEM. USING THE WORD "OBVIOUS" DOESN'T MEAN I SAID IT. WE DO BELIEVE WE CAN BEAT THE BUCS, AND THE MIGHTY SAINTS ... I'M SAYING THAT. STOP PUTTING WORDS IN MY MOUTH JB. AIN'T THERE ENOUGH COMING OUT OF MY MOUTH ALREADY? YOU'RE A GREAT BUC FAN.BUT YOU'RE A TERRIBLE VENTRILOQUIST. THIS DUMMY CAN TALK ONHIS OWN.
falconsd56
We did little to address the secondary? We added a veteran nickle back .. and we added a veteran safety that can also play nickle if needed. What more could the falcons really have done? Given the off season and how it was. They bolstered both the pass rush and the secondary with 3 guys from successful championship caliber defenses. We can do something the saints are unable/unwilling to do....Run the ball well.Rogers cant hurt you standing on the sideline. Fleur de Brees
Well it certainly sounds like you've got it all figured out - just take the same gameplan from the divisional round , throw in 3 dudes that "successful championship caliber" defenses let walk and *BOOM championship.*explosive offense!
