Culpfiction
In Lovie Smith’s seven seasons as coach, the Bears’ defense has allowed an average of 12 points in openers. And that includes games against the Packers’ Brett Favre (170 yards, 40.9 rating), the Chargers’ Philip Rivers (190 yards, 73.3), the Colts’ Peyton Manning (257 yards, 81.8) and the Packers’ Aaron Rodgers (184 yards, 92.0). Its really unrealistic to base those stats on what will happen this Sunday, because both teams have changed and streaks or records are meant/destined to be broken. Additionally, all of those QBs have bad games...none are perfect. One of my closest friends is a Bears fan...and we will be watching it together overseas. I cannot freaking wait! Ray Lewis
Whewre you at overseas? I am in Okinawa, Japan. We are in Korea....got detoured on the way out the door. Luckily with the crap time difference, I should only have to deal with it for most likely 2 weeks in the NFL season.

Glad to see SOME Bears fans know their team. But you know the last time a QB threw for 3 TDs in the first quarter of an opening game? 1963. It happened last night. We have averaged 20 points on your guys both meetings. It will be sunny and warm on Sunday so the outdoor factor won't be in effect. Both teams are fresh so it will be a tough game. FalconMama
Matty Ice is gonna be 3-0 versus Jay Cutler when Sunday is over.Maybe they start a rivalary...You mean 2-1 vs CutlerWhen we played the Bears in 08, Orton was the QB.. We lost to the Cutler lead Broncos in 08 and we beat the Cutler led Bears in 09 so if we win on Sunday Ryan will be 2-1 against Jay Cutler and 3-0 against the Bears

I still respect that stat and think it is not something i want to hear but i have a feeling we will be scoring at least that amount on Sunday. Also if that's the average I'm guessing there where at least a couple openers where they didn't do as well. In fact the more i think about it the more i realize that kinda stat is almost meaningless considering how much the league changes from year to year. Culpfiction
How's the food?I hate it. Lots of cold noodle dishes and seaweed. And of course the fish and raw-food appeal. Some love it though, it's just not for me. I love cooked meat and starches. Their beer is very very good though. That was the "It only took 11 seconds to kill 53 Bears" game. Orton thought he had the game in the bag. Hahaha!

Being it's the first game they should be fresh, and hopefully their age won't show too much. I think as the season wears on this year, it will start to show.Guess only time will tell. To be fair as well, that Brett Favre led Packers team was awful that year. ( I loved saying that)

To be fair as well, that Brett Favre led Packers team was awful that year. ( I loved saying that)in his rookie year, ryan posted 301 yards and a 100+ ratingin 09, he didnt do too hot. 68 qb rating with 2 ints.so hes shown he can carve your de up, but your defense has also shown they can keep him in check. 09 was a particularly sloppy game for both teams.now we come to soldiers field. like you said, the bears defense isnt what it was in 08 or 09, but the difference in this matchup is, you now have julius peppers. we may be familiar with him, but i dont like bakers chances 1 on 1 with #90. if you guys can get a solid pass rush, itll be a difficult game for us on offense as i dont think turner will get more than 75 ish yards on plenty of carries. Cant wait. the past 2 matchups were close. #3 looks to go that route again.
