im not a patriots fan but i am a fan of how they operate and pretty much everything about the way they go about business.

i hope the streak doesn't end until the falcons play there again (2017?)

personally, I hate the whole secretive thing. I understand a team has to keep some things private, but it gets ridiculous when they have to have a talk with Chad Johnson about what he says to the media.

I can't stand the fact that most players give boring interviews, and they are the prime example of the team that encourages it...players won't even talk about their specific personal goals for the season, and the ones that actually give anything good are criticized.

Burning my hand when touching a hot plate is more productive than those interviews are, if they are just going to give those types of answers why do they even ask the questions

the way the patriots talk to the media is definitely boring, but the patriots aren't in the business of giving entertaining interviews, they are in the business of winning. I would be secretive as well. why give the opponents anything to work with?

they take players who many fans would gripe about their team taking (corey dillon, chad johnson, and TATF would go nuts if we picked up haynesworth) and they win with them. They win a superbowl with a CB as their number 1 WR. Their franchise qb hasn't lost a home regular season game since 2006. they'll try to beat their opponent by 60 if they can.

I'm not hanging a NE banner around my house any time soon, but i love how they go about their business.

I know they are, but it isn't like atleast giving an entertaining interview is going to hurt them in winning. It's not like I expect them to tell in detail their gameplan, but just a little more interesting. My view is, if your going to talk to the media make it interesting. If you want to keep everything private, just decline the interview in a polite manner.

As for running up the score, I'm not a big fan of it

they should give the backups a chance to play and show what they can do against other guys around the league

also, citing NE's 59-0 win over TN in 09..it was kind of like "we get it" when they were throwing deep balls over those horrible DBs that played for TN that season. If they had kept doing that they may have literally beaten them 100-0.

I'm not saying lay down for them, keep trying hard..but maybe just use a different style of play...run the ball, use backups..make it atleast something they could do a better job of stoping so its a competition

if they can't even stop you doing that so be it, but there is no need to be throwing it deep and exploiting the other teams weakness when your up 45-0 if you believe in real competition...the only reason I can think of is stat padding really

They aren't allowed to decline interviews. They are required to talk to the media. As far as playing backups when they are up big to see what they can do, i'm sure belicheck knows what his players can do. that's what preseason is for. It's also not the patriots fault that the titan's couldn't stop the pass. they had every opprotunity to build a better defense. It's also the opponents job to stop the patriots, not belicheks job. We've seen teams get a huge lead and let up and still lose the game. Remember Oilers-Bills in the playoffs in 93? houston was up 35-3, let up, and lost in the playoffs. Also Net TDs is a playoff tie breaker. Get as many as you can. As for making it competitive, in that situation it is the Titan's coaches job to make the game competitive, not belichek's.

really? wow..just another ridiculous rule of the league. Anyhow, theres a simple answer for potential comebacks...if they start to make a legit comeback, then just put the starters back in. your up 35-3.it gets to be say, 35-17..put them back in

and has there ever been a situation where net TDs actually make a tiebraker, it goes through several tiebreakers first...conf. record, common opponents, strength of victory, strength of schedule

have there even been 2 teams that were tied in all 4 of those things and had the same record, if that ever happens, I'll run naked down the street

I suppose on making it competitive we disagree, and its just as simple as that..personally, if the game was in the bag I'd want to give the backups a chance to play, and run plays that test the opposing team at something they are a little bit better at..and want to run the clock out

I see no purpose of still trying to attack the team's weakness when your already up 45-0, I like to see competitive battles, not attempts at stat padding
