I honestly think we have a good chance of starting out 4-0. I think we are better than the Bears and will pull out a win. We have the Eagles in the DOME and we have a better secondary than the last matchup. I think we can win that game. Tampa always plays tough, but this game is very winnable, and the Seahawks........we will beat them. 4-0 baby!!

That makes 5. Peter King, Dan Patrick, Pete Prisco, Golic, now Cowherd.

I've lived through WAAAAYYY too much disappointment as a Falcons fan to even begin to relish in all this attention. Frankly, after all the fanfare, my normal expectations would be that we will go 7-9. Hopefully this team will finally prove that "they aren't your daddy's Falcons".

When you live with this franchise as long as I have the proverbial "other shoe" is always hanging by a thread, waiting to drop.

Not real crazy about all this attention, liked it better when everyone was talking up the dumb arse "Dream Team". We just need to get through the first 5 at 3-2 or better and we will be fine.

It's ALWAYS easier to be the underdog, cause the pressure's off. But as the Falcons have improved, they've garnered a little more respect, and thus higher expectations. It makes me uneasy, too, but comes with the territory of being a contender.

RISE UP!

Didn't see this posted anywhere else;

Mike Golic predicted ATL - PIT in the SB this year.

(Greenberg picked SD - PHI)

Seems the Falcons are getting alot of love early on.

I hope they translate that into fact!

Lots of football to be played!

I don't think Greenberg has ever picked the Falcons to do anything. Northern bias.... <_<

I've been saying I think we go 11-5 all offseason, but with Manning's injury dragging out, I'm changing that to 12-4 (I had us losing to the Colts in Indy).

I think it will be really interesting to see if we can beat the Saints for the division, though... we need to go at least 5-1 in the NFC South (hopefully beating the Saints both times, though I know that's unlikely).

<Disclaimer: I was not crazy about Julio Trade on day it was made>

What I find ironic is the national media's take on Falcons trade-up for Julio Jones was that Atlanta gave up "too much" and it was a dumb move...

now these same folks are predicting Falcons going to the SuperBowl after rippin' us for gettin' smoked by the Packers.

Go figure

The difference is that the Falcons are quietly going about their business. The Dream Team came from an internal source - and was blown up.

These are just pundits predicting. They really mean nothing, but it's nice as a fan to hear.

What if the media is building us up only to laugh in our faces later if we do not make it because they are secretly hoping we do not so they can tun the tables; especially if the "Dream Team" makes it. . .

It's quite apparent to most observers that the Falcons have put together a good team, drafting good players and making moves to get good free agent players. In the end all of these strategic acquisitions will pay off and lead to what all Falcon fans want. A Super Bowl win and a Lombardi trophy,

Yeah, we could still go 7-9, but at least nowdays we are getting respect and that respect is well-earned with three consecutive winning seasons, a 13-3 WL record last year and major improvements in just about every area of the team with the exception of Bosher.

I've been watching (and suffering) through all these years of ineptitude also, but I'm not going to let the past dampen my enthusiasm for this season before it even gets started.
