What to expect this Sunday........

From the Defense- I think we will put constant pressure on Cutler and he will make some big mistakes that lead to Falcon points. They will try the screen and dink and dunk game often and I fully expect our linebackers especially Weatherspoon to eat them alive on this. Grimes will have a few chances at interceptions and he'll come down with at least one. I think our Defense will win us this game.

From the offense- I don't think we'll move the ball as easily as we would hope but I think we'll do enough. Expect to see a high energy Bears defense energized by the home crowd in a season opener. I think we may force a few balls deep downfield and cost us but we'll hit a few deep one's also.

If we do stretch the field and hit a deep one early, we could run away with this game. It will quiet the crowd and spread them out for us to run on them all day. Whereas they won't have a clue what to do. If our offense is truely more explosive in the big play department this game and the rest of this year the Bears D could be in for a long day but we have got to see this explosiveness first.

Special Teams- I'm very worried about special teams! We looked terrible in the preseason and the Bears are one of the best return teams in football. I hope we iron out the kinks and don't let our special teams lose us the game. This doesn't include Matt Bryant, he's clutch as they come.

All in all, I think it's gonna be a great game where the better team(Atlanta Falcons) win. We'll let everyone know that our young Defense isn't the weakness everyone thought it was!!!

Go Falcons!!!!

I think both teams will play sloppy at first. I do believe that our continuity will show after the first series or two and we will prove what we already know.

I'm always on the Superbowl bandwagon when the season begins and I really feel like this is our time. If not now when?

They have a good team, I won't take that away from them. I just know that we have an elite team. The grass will play to our favor because we are a brutal offense. I believe we will pound them into submission and then our receiver core will blow the lid off of their secondary.

I also believe our defense has heard enough of the playoff loss and will take their frustrations out on the Bear's offense. We will play with our heads on fire.

This is not a make or break game, but it is a statement game. These guys are going to walk into a buzz saw...

Will we be blitzing often or rely on the front four and dial up the occasional blitz?

With their OL, hopefully our front 4 gets pressure and we won't have to blitz often. Pressure makes everything easier for a D...

I think it kind of depends on whether we can get pressure with the front four or not. I think we can rattle Cutler by hitting him a few times. Early in his career with Denver he rarely got touched. Times have changed and he gets hit often and he hates it. Pressure on Cutler is a must and if we have to blitz to get pressure on him, I say do it.

I think it is very possible to see another chess match like we did in week 1 last year against the steelers but i won't have complete faith in our defense until they are performing at high levels against the colts, texans, packers, saints (good job last year), and eagles. I'm just not sold on our defense yet but i think they will get the job done against the bears but lost year i thought with big ben out we had that game in the bag before opening kick off so i won't look past the bears like i did the steelers.

I agree, against that OL the front four should be enough. That being said, might see LBs come and then drop DEs in coverage to mix it up and try to catch Cutler trying to read the blitz and dumping to Forte. Cutler is very talented but lack of protection and poor performances by his WRs make him look bad. Their WRs are not good enough route runners to get open quickly or punish us for blitzing. Forte can make us regret blitzing though.
