Bears fans are a confident bunch

Bear fans seem to think they got this game in the bag. They seem to think that we have done nothing to improve of defense, our o-line is garbage and base a guarantee win on the fact that we lost to the Packers in the playoffs last year. I can appreciate their enthusiasm but I think they have more blind fans than us!

I don't think that we win run away with this game (although we have the capacity to) but I would agree with most that we have the more talented team and should win this game convincingly. I predict a 24-17 win for the Birds! What do you got?

I do agree with my fellow Bears fans, and I also agree with the game being so close. Many of the posters on this board expect a blow out and the Bears rarely get blown out. During bad years/times, we always drag the level of competition down to our level. Since this is a good year, expect to see a

27-24, 31-28 game shootout of sorts.

Also, check out this link for some good natured ribbing/laughter:

I also believe we could run away with this game as well. And to some extent I still believe we will. They have a bifg time Dline but when we go nu huddle with Roddy, Julio, and HD on the field we are to dangerous and unpredictable.

I know the yhave the ability to put up points quick as well but I just believe we can stop the run well and our speed on D will be to much for them to hit Forte in the flats without us being there.

With that being said, I just believe we are to dangerous in the no huddle and we an really take their Dline out of the game with it. Imo this is also a perfect game for a bomb to Julio, even in the no huddle we will hit short routes to make sure Peppers cant get there and when the secondary comes up we put the game away.

Atlanta Falcons: 27

Chicago Bears: 17

they are a confident bunch, gotta give them that... some of those predictions are completely ridicoulous... i can understand the 20-17 predictions, because being a fan of the team it will feel like betrayal to predict a loss, but come on, some of them expect the bears to beat us packers style. not gonna happen.

if the falcons play someone i think will be difficult i predict a small victory to us, because i can't predict against my team, not a blowout.

Who are the Falcons, who are the Bears? At this point, it's just week one and each sides fans think they are SB bound.

IMO, Falcons are a dink and dunk team which is a perfect setup for a cover two based defense.

On O, we just have to become a decent oline and we'll score around 20 a game with Forte and Cutler. 2nd year in the system is a big deal.

DId any of you click of this link yet?

Bears are used to no huddle. Urlacher has seen everything at this point.

No huddle ain't got nothing on a cover two anyways.

Urlacher is your entire defense, I will agree with that.

The Cover Two is only effective if you can get pressure on the QB and I highly doubt the other side of your d-line opposite Peppers can do that. Plus, Ryan is pretty good at exploiting zone gaps, so good luck with trying to stop the no-huddle attack when he gets rolling.

Falcons 24

Bears 21

Really? Well we will see. Because that cover 2 will get killed with HD in the slot. And lets not forget we have already seen Roddy in the slot.

And Urlacher has never seen Roddy, Julio, and HD on the field together and oh yea that guy named Turner is in the backfield as well.

The Bears strength is in thir D line but vs a no huddle with 3 big times WR's on the field, we will gladly keep it shprt so the Bears can watch our guys run and run and run.

I'm not saying the Bears are bad but they honestly dont want this team to dink and dunk becasue Julio will get yac like crazy.

The match up I like is the Bears CB Jennings (5'8'' 185 lbs) against Julio. I think that Julio can dominate this small CB with his size and physicality. Look for the Falcons to exploit this matchup all game and if the Bears try to compensate by rolling coverages or double teaming Julio, Ryan can find HD in the slot or Tony up the seam. I really like the possibilities for our passing game!

I think a lot a people are overlooking the Bears as if they don't have a defense. All these 28-10, 33-3, 31-23 talk is way over the top. I hope we win but i dont see us putting up 30 points on them.

Way over the top? With the explosive talent we have on this roster, putting up 30 points a game is possible against any defense in the league. This offense is capable IF firing on all cylinders. I'm just excited to see where we are against a good opponent in the regular season. Whats wrong with optimism when the talent is there?

Me to, if our passing game is clicking then you can beat Turner will have some big gaines. Dont believe he goes over 100, but a couple of 10 yard runs here and there will set up the playaction.

I dont think people realize exactly how fast and big Julio is. They will find out though.

Ryan and the O will have #'s, no doubt. Cover two like the Bears run allows a lot of short completitions. The Bears are always looking for the turnover though. They excel at taking the ball away. Since ATL has shown they like to dink n dunk with Ryan, this only works in da bears favor.
