Sleepy27
Armstrong,BVG,Mularkey,Smith,White,Ryan,Weems,Tweedle dee and Tweedle Dumb ( Robinson and Decoud)I don't See how Arthur watches these games and says " ya know we gotta good thing going" "I love how the offense is getting operated". I like the D they step sometimes and get entirely too much blame for the inept offense.Yesterday the D made me proud. They kept sproles completely in check and gave up only a few bad plays. They overcame stupid coaching (the onside kick) and repeatedly gave the offense chances.
Club212
MM & BVClueless neck & neck...why isn't Armstrong up there?, Our special teams have zero creativity & with Owens showing heart big time (I'm shocked he did that), they just said on NFL net that he may have saved the season & got us back to being relevant! kane#7
MM we are supposed to have one of the best offenses in the league and will go as far as they can take us.
joe_fishback
brian van gorder this defense doesn't even look good against banged up offenses on terrible teams, especially the secondary

Club212
BVClueless...how does he explain his adjustments after the half each week, this week a 19 play TD to a 3rd string QB??? MM...Turner was hurting all week, gives him limited carries while the other 2 guys get 3 total for the game??? WR coach, when will our #1 WR's (incl Jenkins) stop dropping passes, stop running routes or wrong routes????
PokerSteve
Mike Smith - Head CoachHow can you blame the coordinators and not blame the head man in charge who works directly over them and with them? How many times have oganizations rid themselves of their coordinators and not rid themselves of the head coach (unless said named coordinators went on to become head coaches or what not)? If I am going to blame any coordinator/assistant coach, etc, then I am going to look at the head coach, too. The head coach is the general and his coordinators are his colonels. He hands down the orders to what he wants to see installed as far as team philosophy and his colonels carry it out as they best see fit.If a unit is not ran well, the man in charge giving the orders should be looked upon for answers. We may not be on the same page often, but we definitely are with your post here. I voted for MM though, because I don't see AB letting Smith go with his overall winning record here. But you're absolutely right here, the buck really stops with MS, not the coordinators. There aren't three people on this board that would agree that Smith needs to be canned, but you could make a serious argument for it if this team blows an easy path to the play-offs and doesn't get in, or gets in the play-offs and stinks it up and loses in the first round. PokerSteve
My vote is for this board. Too many whiny b*tches on here this season. It's pathetic.I sincerely hope the whiners find another team to support.Brilliant post. The TATF posters who complain about the pathetic performance of a team that went 13-3 last year are the only problem this team has and all should be insta-banned. Problems solved. LOL. Steel City Falcon
I'm gonna put the blame on both coordinators but mike smith isn't to far away from getting his name put out there too...
sharky
In this order:Smitty - sense he's taking all the blame.MM- don't know how to adjust.BVG - don't know how to adjust.Players - not making key plays (offense and defense)
norbendon
I'll say MM, because the front office went out of it's way to make sure that he had another big weapon to go along with the very good ones he already had and the results have been lackluster at times and certainly not up to expectations. Club212
Brilliant post. The TATF posters who complain about the pathetic performance of a team that went 13-3 last year are the only problem this team has and all should be insta-banned. Problems solved. LOL.I've been a fan for a long time, & don't even live in ATL. Some of my dedication as a fan of this team includes actually going to the Dome when it opened, being in Miami for the SuperBowl,& too much more to mention, this board is for the FANS, not the team, we get to vent as much as we want, yes, we went 13-3 were #1 seed & bounced in the 1st round to evenual SB winner. We also drafted JJ & gave up plenty for him, my expectations were just as high as anyone that THIS may be the year, my only fear was the coaching staff, I like Smitty alot, just today there was talk about what goes thru HC's minds during a game, that they have some much to do that its the CO's who handle most of the workload. MM is the only "name" coach on the list, he has brought Matty along at what he feels is his pace, it may be slow, but like all on the board, i'm starting to get impatient. BVClueless, is way overmatched in the NFL, i'm sure he 's a nice guy, that doesn't cut it here. I'm not saying "I know everthing" but don't you "blitz" or at least "show blitz" to a 3rd string QB on the 1st play or 1st set of downs to show him..."watch out"???scare him???confuse him??? I post this poll to see if what I see, others see. I did the same for players & you know what, those or most on that list shouldn't be there ie.Spoon & Bosh, maybe they do see the poll & do go out & perform better knowing what the fans think...so ease up, this is the fans place like it or not! Club212
1 week to go, but after last night, my observaions: Special teams - whats so special? OC - Whats with the "red zone"? I know, if you were MM, you have to keep the team on the field as long as possible (which we are one of the best in!) DC - I don't call him BVClueless for nothing, this team in 3rd downs is just unwatchable! Bend, Break & Cross your fingers & hope for a turnover doesn't cut it in the NFL, especially against elite teams! WR's - I was nice seeing Terry talking to JJ after he didn't extend his arms going for a catch last night, but why are our #1 WR draft choices (M Jenkins incl) suffer the case of the "drops"? Smitty, I like his style, but there has to be a "next level". For him, it's got to be finding the "best avail" coaches out there after the season. Take over/charge of the "D" since thats your forte'. My picks for DC would be Spags (he will be with Philly or the GIa though) or JACK. IF MM goes, don't even hesitate on Norv. How about bringing in Marty Shott in for advisor or AHC. He just wins & with Smitty making the "ballsy calls" we would win it all!
