Why Georgia fans feel "Entitled"

Recommended Posts

I see this question a lot from TV talking heads and opposing fans wondering why Georgia fans feel like they are entitled to winning. There's a very simple answer to this and it has nothing to do with X's and O's, tradition, coaches, past players, etc. It's this.....

Georgia is ranked No. 3 in revenue and No. 2 in profits.

CNN Money

Why do we feel "entitled". Because we put our money where our mouth is. We ALWAYS show up no matter how far away the game is and no matter how many times we've lost to the opponent. We put our hearts in, our time in, and even in a terrible economy we put our hard earned money in. You'd feel pretty **** "entitled" to if you put out as much as our fans do.

Don't forget that our state is always top 5 in talent in the nation. Don't forget we have an amazing campus, great academics, and a nice little historical legacy. Sorry, but a lot of those sentiments are meant to be excuses for Richt. I'm not going to dwell on this, but I'm also not going to sugarcoat it any longer. He tied his future to Bobo and when you make those decisions, the consequences are almost guaranteed. I say we don't dwell on this too much at least till after South Carolina, or more appropriately till after the 5th or 6th game of the season. If things aren't right by then, we'll know where this is going. UGA will NOT fire Richt during the season. On the other hand, there are two or three SEC assistants that I'm eyeing as potential headcoaches. Until then, I'm going to attend every game I can, cheer as loud as I can, and hope Richt turns it around. I don't want to get on a high horse, but I believe thats the only reasonable thing to do.
