Its not just RS playing though.

The Offensive Line has to improve. Period.

Murray has to throw the ball away. He held on to it to long a few times.

I didnt see much of drew did he play much? Do anything? Bobo one comment, we need to work on more short passing, slants, ect.. THoser are the plays you run when you need 3-5 yards. Screens? On a good not, we did look decent against the run, that will hopefully be the case Against LATT. We will get all garcia, unless the game gets away from us.

People still don't understand this play call. We can't throw it deep here, there's too much risk in that. If we don't get it then we do not have a manageable 4th down. Running it gives us guaranteed yardage and allows us to call a reasonable play.

I'm glad Coach Petrino has Pass plays designed to get yards to make it 4th and short or get 1st downs. Has the ability to prepare players to execute them and the confidence to call them.

I predict the same thing with Boise...Bobo loses the game for UGA. I see UGA holding the game close for the first half, then S. Carolina is gonna blow it open in the 3rd/4th quarter.

you mean how petrino handled the 2nd half last year against bama? what happened there? he choked as a play caller and decision maker and that ability you talk about was ignored to try and shorten a game. each coach is different in how they handle things. i have seen plenty of coaches in the same situation run on that 3rd and long and seen plenty make it or at least set up for a manageable 4th down. i have seen teams throw for it and get a sack and punt. when it works it's a great call and when it doesn't it's a bad call. i understand why we did that like i understand why petrino handled the 2nd half against bama last year the way he did.

Not a big Mark May fan but he made some good comments on the College Football Live show today.

Said we were bigger than Boise and "looked like Tarzan but played like Jane".

Also said we will play a team on Saturday that is just as talented.

I have to think that ourteam will rally up and come out focused. The beloved Head Coach is on the ropes. He needs to put a foot up Grantham and Bobo's *** this whole week.

FACT - We need to play mean. Im tired of watching our team get manhandled almost every week.

My OPINION - If our veterans on the O-Line dont want to block, throw some freshmen in there. Find the guys who want to play football.

OPINION - How about move J Jones to inside linebacker and use Ray Drew, TJ Stripling, and Herrera outside. There is no **** way a walk-on needs to be on the football field.

OPINION - Stop the spread. Go back to 2 tight ends (**** we got 4 **** good ones), I formation and play UGA football. Murray is deadly on play action pass. (Guy had a 68% competletion on play action last season and moved the ball well when we did go to it briefly in the 3rd quarter).

OPINION - Enough will the loyalty. If Bobo cant get his act together, demote him NOW. Richt can go back to calling plays.

OPINION - Like I said enough with the loyalty. Start Malcolm Mitchell over T King. Lets get Marlon Brown the ball more. He looked solid when given the chance Saturday night.

Lastly, the crowd needs to be rockin. I hate fans who arrive midway through the first quarter and leave early in the 4th. If your going to do that, just give your ticket to someone else. Saturday at 4:30, lets be LOUD.

JJ needs to be in the place where Tree was last week. We know Strip, Vasser, Drew, Herrera have to be better athletes than the Walk-on LB that played Sat.

We have got to get the ball to people in space. We also have got to use the middle of the field. We went down the middle of the field 3/4 times vs. BSU. Does mike only know the GO route for his wideouts? We just dont have a clue offensively. Only can hope for miracle there!

Some things I believe must happen this coming saturday:

I agree with crowell1 the crowd needs to be there early and ready to go. This is a huge huge contest and our guys need us in the stadium early.

I agree we can't have a walk on start or get a lot of playing time. I feel for Alec and I hope the best for him and in his recovery. We need to move jarvis inside if we think the alternative is a walk on. Boise State exploited that area when alec went out very effectively.

I like tavarres and his dad, but those two drops by king last week stopped drives. We can't have that. Either catch the ball or ride the bench period. Malcolm Mitchell must get a lot of playing time and I would love a reverse and some other misdirection plays early to take advantage of sc's aggressive defense and of malcolm's speed.

Richard will start, but Crowell is going to get the bulk of the carries and imo with lattimore on the other sideline this will be a motivation for IC and I can see him having a very good game.

This is a game we can win and IMO we win a close one in Athens.

Should be a great game. I'm eager to see this defense do a much better job against Lattimore. Our run d was pretty stout against Boise and Martin is very tough to bring down as well.

after thinking back to last year and knowing spurrier i really think he gets us in the nickel again this year so we run a 4-2-5 and then run lattimore at us. it will be imperative we tackle well and we did a good job of that this past saturday night minus one glaring play i saw.

Disagree with those who say we'll do better simply because "SC is no Boise." We may do better, but we're not going to see some huge drop-off in competition this week. Historically SC gets more hype for UGA than any other opponent, save Clemson sometimes. We will get SC's best effort.

Look for SC's DL to stunt and use movement (pre and post snap) to take advantage of us playing 2 guards at tackle and Burnette's inexperience. The way Boise got the edge on us, it looked like we were a 1990s BIG 10 OL and the Boise passrushers were SEC athletes. Burnette blew a lot of assignments in what was his first game last week. If Glenn keeps looking as slow as he did last week, we need to have him and Gates flip flop.

Nevermind that FSU crushed them and they looked mostly bad against ECU. We lost to Boise State and looked bad doing it. Let's just crown Carolina today and reserve their flights and hotels. Stick a fork in us, we're done.

I agree with everything you said. A fact is they are returning seemingly everybody from last years team that beat us so bad. Alshon, Lattimore, and Garcia are a nasty trio.

I think our run D should do a lot better no doubt. Lattimore will still break some good runs because he is just that good, but I doubt we see 200 yards again.

I think we win/lose this game based on pass d/stephen garcia. If we can slow Garcia down and get him ticked off early we stand a very good chance. If Grantham comes out with his head in his butt like last week and doesnt get away from that soft zone, then it will be a long day and they will do a lot of scoring.

Grantham will win/lose this game for us I believe. HOPEFULLY our line will remember they are playing football and not having a tea party and Murray will be able to have 2 seconds to throw the ball and play much better. If Grantham does that no blitzing soft zone again I think Garcia goes 350 yds + and we lose handedly.

Also, SC has a huge advantage in that they let their QB be 2 deminsional, even though he is less suited for it than our QB. Garcia makes plays and scores with his legs which is a HUGE advantage for them that we don't have

No it's not the only point... we got people acting like we have no chance at winning on Saturday, not simply acknowledging that they have some great talent. Can Carolina beat us? Sure they can, but I saw nothing on Saturday that guarantees it.

Our boys had to eat a big slice of humble pie Saturday night, I don't see them laying down for anyone.

Some people need to remember they are fans, not tv analysts or UGA assistant AD's or something. Sports talk radio has ruined the common fan. Everyone thinks their opinion matters now.

Yeah, nobody is trying to crown the Cawk's azzes. Only point I was trying to make is that historically this game is amongst the toughest every year and this year SC looks to have one of the better teams they've ever had. This is the most important game of Richt's tenure so I expect an all out brawl.
