JaGz
Road to Atlanta??? For what the peach bowl? 3rd and 16!!! we run it up the middle?? If Richt wants to keep his job he needs to fire his buddy coordinators. Even Keith Brooking would have stopped that play.. Bye Bye BO BO is all i got to say. bigjmw84
I was under the impression that in a 3-4 defense the idea is to have creative ways to disguise and blitz extra rushers from a variety of spots on the field. We blitzed BSU no more tha 3 or 4 times all game. Out of those four, we got a pick and got them off the field on third down twice. Every time we came with the blitz, it came from Jarvis Jones on the same side. Not one time did i see us do any stunts to create a favorable situation. I also didnt se our LB's show blitz and drop into coverage. It goes without saying that last night was painfull to watch. The loss of Ogletree was a big blow to our LB core, especially from a coverage standpoint. I wanna believe that they wanted to see if they could win being vanilla as possible to preserve all of the exotic looks for South Carolina next week. Maybee Richt wasnt as concerned with Boise from a W-L standpoint because they couldnt prevent us from winning the east which is definately more attainable than a National Championship. If what we showed on defense is all we got, then we are absolutely screwed. This would be my stop-gap plan for next week:We need to run the 4-3 as our base package until further notice while using the 3-4 in smaller packagesMoving to a 4-3 would give us the opportunity to have one of the NT's grouped with one one of our 3-4 DE's in the interior allowing us to stay fresh consistently with pressure up the middle. We would use our current OLB as D-Ends4-3 rotations:RDE:Drew/J.Jones/StriplingNT:Geathers/Jenkins/D.LottDT:A.Jones/D.Tyson/G.SmithLDE:C.Washington/FaloughiWLB:Jones/WilsonMLB:C.Robinson/HerreraSLB:Samuel/VasserFS:Williams/C.MooreCB:Boykin/Commings/SandersCB:Smith/Swann/LoveSS:Commings/Rambo

Bye Bye BO BO is all i got to say.I'll try to keep my grievances to other threads, but we seem to punt when we should go for it, kick FG's when we should go for it, and go for it when we should kick FG's. These types of headcoaching mistakes weren't made during the first GWB administration. It is not possible to just forget these things you once got right. Billy Ocean
Shaw looked a little sloppy at times. Might see him like 3rd series of half or something but I bet we get mostly Garcia
Billy Ocean
4-3 rotations:we don't have enough LB's to run 4 LB packages until Tree back. we need 4-3, 3-3-5, Nickel
JaGz
I just hope the evil genius doesn't teach the DBs on punt coverage to slide in some... might have to call a time out to figure out what to do then...
Rambler
I think Georgia refocuses and plays well enough to win.
JaGz
Didn't Richt take back Offensive play calling from BoBo last year? any chance of that happening again? Maybe just for the SEC games?I hope we refocus somehow, they did fight back some while down and that's good to see. ESP while their hands are tied. Carter
Yeah, we should definitely see a lot more 4 down linemen defense if we don't have the depth for 4 LB spots. Drew is probably more ready to contribute big as a true DE than OLB at this point.
Cable Guy
Hoping for a better game and outcome. I see no reason why UGA can't run a multiple D using the 43 and 34. They have 2 heavy weights at DT. Put them on the field together and see what they can do. As for the offense I would like to see more I form and 2 TE sets. If they want to spread them out, run single back sets with 3 - 4 WR with the QB under center. Leave the shotgun for pass only and run sparingly from it. Tree1
First post on da board... Solid board but just had to chime in... No chance of playin 4-3 look...We will be in the nickle package vs. SC. We should have prob been in the nickle more vs BSU imo. Losing Tree is a dagger but there I think we need to move JJ into Trees role in nickle package and play wash and (strip, vasser, rev ray) @ the nickle DEs and play JJ/geathers at one dt position and rotate the Jones and tyson at other dt. We will see rambo at safety and hopefully he will make a diff. Cummings may b the only db who can physically match up with alshon. I would love to see us chuck alshon at the line play him physical show him we are not scared to match up vs. him.Offensively we need the OL to step up...boise DT are better than the *****. The ***** will prob boast DE that will be as good or better than we/murray saw last week. LB play is not great from SC and talkin to a buddy here in SC he said gilmore has degressed from last yr. ECU went right at him and toasted him. I think m. mitchell earned the start this week. IC should get start too. No reason to have RS to b running the rock. Bottom line...Got to block, tackle and coaches have got to put the players in the best position to win! I love the dawgs but just dont see the dawgs winnin this one... SC favored by 1.5 id taken in a heart beat... That is A LOCK! Edited September 5, 2011 by Tree1

TroubleDawg
I really don't wanna see Murray on a stretcher, RS has to play. Its not just RS playing though. The Offensive Line has to improve. Period. Murray has to throw the ball away. He held on to it to long a few times.

It will be somewhere near the west endzone student section. Is this old news? Edited September 5, 2011 by dhuckdawg20
