calidawg
Now this is a thread I can be happy with. Probably even Vandy.

Boise State runs the table this year which is a real possibility they would have loss 2 games in 4 years. Don't care who you play thats impressive.35-
kingjamez
Crowell tried blocking and missed, which led to Murray throwing a pick. There's your reason for Samuel being in the game. Come on now. We aren't asking Samuel to be a special runner.

We aren't asking Samuel to be a special runner. In my mind, Crowell threw the int. Hes a major liability in pass pro RIGHT NOW. Its my understanding that these things improve through game reps. 15 runs for 60 yds is amazing when you factor in how bad our O-line was. Ransack
The real question should be is what is our idiot OC doing running a pure north south guy east/west out of slow developing shotgun reads.

DawgBone
Don't think so. Murray might have done better to hold on to it and take the loss, but he was getting laid out on his azz.
Billy Ocean
Don't think so. Murray might have done better to hold on to it and take the loss, but he was getting laid out on his azz.Murray did plenty of that too, unfortunately. Murray played last night like he did in last year's SC game after Bobo/Richt put the fear of god in him about the way he (successfully) ran week 1 versus Louisiana Lafayette. This staff literally has nothing to lose. So why handcuff Murray? Let him make plays with his feet. Hows about we dust off some plays we ran when Shockley was here? DawgBone
I was having this same conversation with a friend today. Murray is a good mobile quarterback but we didn't see ANY of that last night. And I'm afraid you're right - if he can't run we're going to see a lot of losses on plays or him trying to force throws. Hows about we dust off some plays we ran when Shockley was here? You mean run plays that worked well for us when we were a successfull team? If Murray continues to be handicapped in his ability to scramble then I think we see his interception numbers go up this year and completion % go down because he is trying to force things.Think Russell Wilson. A couple of years ago he set, or came close to setting, the record for most consecutive passes without an int. Last two years when his team was terrible he tried to make plays and force things and the td/int ratio was drastically different

It was just a bad play. Charles and Mitchell are the only receivers that stepped up. Murray was getting hit, but it wasn't because of Crowell. The line was terrible. itsjustafleshwound
I wasn't impressed with Samuel watching from the upper deck endzone; however, someone I know watching on tv made the comment that Samuel was hobbling a little before he ever went into the game. The kid went out there and played anyways. I'm more than disappointed in the staff. They've failed for now though I will support them for the rest of the season (hoping for either staff change or change of results)....Please though, don't fault Samuel for switching positions twice in a year's period and playing injured behind an inept offensive line. He may not make it in football at the next level or even do great in college, but if he is as near as smart as he is tough, dedicated, and loyal, I would hire him in a second (if I ran a company). Samuel shouldn't be degraded but should be thanked.

It's never as bad as it seems (or as good for that matter) but this is all part of being a die-hard fan. I understand that because I go through the roller coaster too, just more quietly.
